LOL......naaa...we Choctaws us it for socialism. Reduced cost housing, trips for our senior citizens, scholarships and fee waivers for our kids, and.....drumrollll..........free health care for our tribal citizens. ;) These among other things.

To enrich the tribal council and a tiny bit for the schools.

It's tough not to cheer, but the reality is this drives people to think of Natives as entertainment only. There are better things than casinos and vice to sell from the reservations. It doesn't drive much hope.

Thank you Damo....I agree completely. I hate it that this is the way we fund our stuff. I know more than one person whose life wound up in the tank because of the gambling bug. While they use the money to supply some pretty good stuff I wish they'd find another way to get it.

Yeah, because that's the only goal, no reason to retain any cultural integrity, no reason to have any pride. The government beneficently allows them to have a casino, it's all "fixed"...
 
Free healthcare is worth it.

I really dislike gambling, because it's a socially useless activity. I would tolerate games of skill like poker, but I honestly think lotteries and slot machines should be banned.
