If Bannon goes to jail on misdemeanor charges remember that the stewards of what was once a justice system in some cities refuse to charge anyone with a misdemeanor, and that many who are clearly guilty of felony crimes are also not punished in any way, they dont even need to post bail.
Or even better, let the DOJ do it.

Ever see the movie "Groundhog Day"? (with Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell) Funny as hell and one of my favorites. Anywho, if they subpoena him again, it'll just be more of the same (it'll also be the very definition of insanity). Two things I've come to realize about Bannon: I can't recall anyone being charged with contempt of congress who more richly deserved it. He TRULY holds congress in contempt. Did you know all he had to do was show up at that clusterfuck of a "hearing" and plead the 5th, and they couldn't touch him? Did you know that HE subpoenaed committee members to testify at his trial? They didn't show up. Is that contempt of Bannon?
The second thing is, Bannon is a fucking honey badger. He loves this shit, and he's willing to go to jail just for the chance to play the game. Remember this from a few years ago? Never wrestle with a pig. You just get all muddy and the pig likes it.

Which, IMO, indicates Bannon has psychological issues. He's a fanatic and is willing to go to prison for a false belief. Like you said, all he had to do was show up, plead the 5th and laugh. Instead, he's deliberately pissing up a rope. He's not stupid. He knows what he is doing and he doesn't care which is why I think he's insane.
Don't be surprised if he shows up for prison, surrounded by media, and detonates a suicide vest. This idiot is determined to immolate himself one way or another.
