Ashli Babbitt, a California woman who participated in the U.S. Capitol riot on Jan.6, was "ambushed" by the Capitol Police officer who fatally shot her as she tried to enter the Speaker’s Lobby outside the House Chamber, a lawyer for the family said this week, according to reports.

The family plans to file a $10 million wrongful death lawsuit against the Capitol Police and the officer, the Washington Examiner reported.

Terry Roberts, a lawyer hired by Babbitt’s family who specializes in police misconduct cases, told Real Clear Investigations this week that he believes the officer didn’t give Babbitt verbal warnings before he fired.

"It’s not debatable. There was no warning," Roberts alleged. "I would call what he did an ambush. I don’t think he’s a good officer. I think he’s reckless."....

This lawsuit is a joke. Just look at the sensational headline, and when you read the article, there really isn't much to it, this is known as yellow journalism (journalism that is based upon sensationalism and crude exaggeration), and this is typical of Fox News.

The comparison to George Floyd is disgusting. He was not a threat, was not trespassing, and was not part of a violent riot attacking our Capitol. How pathetic and insulting to suggest that.

The people responsible for the riot need to continue to be held accountable.

Ashli Babbitt was a terrorist and got what she deserved! The officer that shot this insurgent, shot her in the shoulder,, not center mass or in the head, as Trump would tell it? The terrorist bled to to death, it was hard getting her medical attention through all that MAGA filth! The families lawsuit is a frivolous lawsuit too and wont amount to nothing!
