As promised, Deep Scientific Analysis of Most Frequent Current Events Thread Starters

For those that don't read off topic, I have recently taken it upon myself to gauge the interest level JPP has for particular thread starters. I measure this by very highly scientific methods. One of these methods is called "averaging"

The methodology for this was as follows:

Track the last 7 pages of Current events

Filter it for those that started 4 or more threads (superstring started 3 but I included him cause I had data for him on off topic as well and wanted to compare)

Then, I "averaged" the data to give us a result of what I call the JPP interest index. The higher your average, the more people are interested in the threads you started.

So lets get started, first, the raw data:

It's worth noting that both soc and tom would have been more in the middle of the pack, but they both struck gold when they each had a thread with a ton of replies (soc had a thread that had 300+) which skews their averages a bit. However, in post theory, it's common sometimes to have a variety of threads until you finally strike gold. So ultimately, their results still count, but just keep that in mind.

FactsRstubbron came in the winner for the category of "holllly fucking shit this guy never stops posting threads."

A scatter plot gives us a more graphical representation of where everyone lies in relation to on another:

In Current Events, FactsRStubbron is the equivalent of Tom on Off Topic. A major, major outlier. Basically everyone ignores facts threads, in spite of him spamming the every loving shit out of current events. He actually had a lot of 0 reply threads, though he also had some successful ones that put him into the middle of the pack average wise. Perhaps there is a correlation between a higher supply of threads and a lower demand to read them. It sure looks that way.

The above data can be represented with (Facts + CE) = (Tom + Off Topic)

Legion has almost the exact same thread starting rate for Current Events as he does for OffTopic. (15 and 16 respectively) However his bubble rises slightly more in Current Events, from 2 in off topic to around 9 in Current Events. Good job legion. Part of the reason for this is it's likely easier for legion to troll with real issues, versus shit no one really cares about anyway in Off Topic. The more emotional attachment to real issues, the more successful Legion will be at trolling, and the data clearly reflects that.

Superstring has a JPP interest index about 1/3rd of that of Off Topic. Thankfully, I was still able to represent the data.

Yurt is also substanstially more boring when talking about real issues vs. Off Topic Chatter

Soc, as mentioned earlier, had a nuclear bomb of a thread that generated a ton of discussion. This propelled him into Grind Off topic territory for Current Events.

Finally, BAR GRAPH!:

(Blue is number of posts, Green is Avg Replies)

In conclusion, science. Thank you for all for reading this study. I hope you enjoyed it.

No shit. It's even in the Bible:

"Thou shall not feed the troll"

You think I am a troll, yet you and your beard keep responding. Ironic huh?

I know you are bitter for getting your hand slapped over your Atlanta comment, but let it go already.

:rofl2L

It is clear that you don't know what bias is when it comes to science. My suggestion is you stop here before you embarrass yourself

My suggestion is that you find another forum where no one knows what a moron you are. Oh, looks like you already did that...you joined DCJ yesterday...

:rofl2:

DCJ? Don't know what that is. As for this forum, I will stay as long as I like and I will leave when I like. Or if the mods decide they no longer want me posting here. It is of no consequence to me whether you approve or not :)

I will give you this, you may not ever be right, but you are never in doubt. A fine quality for any OWEbama supporter is to show blind allegiance and never question the Dear Leader. You have all of those qualities necessary to be a good Obamabot

You think? LOL
