Although this thread is about anything dealing with AI and drones, it was reading an article about Saildrones being sent into hurricanes that caught my eye.

The first saildrone had a name but now there are so many they go by numbers such as SD 1045 which was sent into the eye of Hurricane Sam in 2021.

The manufacturer also built the largest saildrone for ocean mapping down to 23,000 feet. Maybe one will eventually find Amelia Earhart and MH370 along with the thousands of planes and ships lost in WWII.
