Army reservist arrested for Capitol riot known as Nazi sympathizer: Prosecutors

Well, let's see, his defense attorney, and he are claiming the prosecution's characterization of him as a "White supremist" and racist are wrong. Last time I checked, having a "Hitler mustache" wasn't a crime or illegal, even if it is a poor choice for presenting yourself in public.

The prosecution is sort of admitting now that they really don't have much if any evidence that the guy is a White supremist or racist (per the link you gave)

So, another much to do about nothing.

Everyone is a white supremacist, even you. The evidence of black mental inferiority is that strong.

Dude, Timothy Hale-Cusanelli is labeled a white supremacist and a Nazi in his indictment papers.

He is clearly fucking nuts. This link says the Army Reserves booted him: https://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2...e-cusanelli-hitler-mustache-us-capitol-riots/

I haven't seen the actual indictment, but several links detail multiple charges and allegations. He's booted from the Reserves and terminated from his day job. His life will never be the same again

in addition to losing his security clearances :)

He's going to be fighting to bottom bunk soon. He's another idiot who followed Trump's orders to record his actions.

One of the court documents: http://cdn.cnn.com/cnn/2021/images/03/14/2021-03-12.hale-cusanelli.doj.opposition.to.release.pdf
While
in Washington, D.C. for that event, Defendant recorded videos of himself protesting in a variety
of locations, commenting on the attendance of certain groups at the rally, screaming at and
interfering with United States Capitol Police officers, climbing a scaffolding to enter the United
States Capitol building through doors that had been kicked open by rioters, and chanting “Stop the
Steal” with other protesters. Defendant posted some of these videos to social media.
Defendant’s actions at the Capitol were reported to the Naval Criminal Investigation
Service (“NCIS”) by a Confidential Human Source (“CHS”). Defendant spoke directly to CHS
about his actions at the capitol, and showed CHS photographs and video. CHS later recorded a
conversation with Defendant, on NCIS-approved recording equipment, wherein Defendant again
admitted his conduct and spoke at length about what his participation in the Capitol riot meant to
him.

very telling making excuses for Jan 6th insurrectionists

A U.S. Army reservist who was arrested for participating in the Capitol riot was known to coworkers as a white supremacist and Nazi sympathizer

I'd say if he were booted from the Reserves and his job he's won the legal lottery. Until charges are proven doing either is quite illegal.

Agreed. This idiot recorded himself committing crimes and he confessed to his crimes in interviews with law enforcement.

What's telling is you are unable and unwilling to hear both sides, consider the actual charges, and potential consequences fairly. For you, a good old fashioned Southern lynching is in order no questions to be taken...

Agreed on innocent until proven guilty but this idiot recorded himself breaking the law. What strategy do you think he'll use to declare his innocence?

Don't know, really don't care that much. But before there are consequences he should get his day in court and a fair trial.

I fully support following the law on this and all criminal matters.

That said, if OJ had recorded himself committing two murders, I doubt he would have been acquitted.

I an sure the idiot can kiss his freedom good bye at forever being under the eye of Justice watching every move he makes and no matter where he is at, and even in the toilet room too.

T. A. Gardners kind

Seeking the continued detention of Hale-Cusanelli, prosecutors cite interviews Naval Criminal Investigation Service agents conducted with 44 of his co-workers at the Naval Weapons Station Earle in Colts Neck, New Jersey, where he works as a contractor.

Thirty-four of those interviewed described Hale-Cusanelli as "having extremist or radical views pertaining to the Jewish people, minorities and women," according to court documents filed Friday. A majority acknowledged he was a white supremacist and gave examples, "many of which were violent," prosecutors said.

One Navy seaman said he heard Hale-Cusanelli allegedly say, "Babies born with any deformities or disabilities should be shot in the forehead," and that if he were a Nazi "he would kill all the Jews and eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and he wouldn't need to season them because the salt from their tears would make it flavorful enough," according to the documents.

He broke the law. He broke into the United State Capitol. He's not suing a damn person. Losing his job is the least of his problems.
