Arizona restaurant closes following backlash from its pro-Trump Facebook post

People can vote with their pocketbook. We can choose to eat wherever we want. If we don't want to eat somewhere because we don't like the owners politics that is our right as consumers.

Making threats to the restaurant and employees is a different story. That's unacceptable.

Not for leftists. They believe everyone must conform to their beliefs and the ends justify the means.

You are enjoy philosophical debates about ideology. They play for keeps.

I don't really understand this stuff, but to each his own. I remember Hannity having a lengthy discussion w/ a caller on his radio show about how much they loved "Shawshank Redemption," but couldn't watch it on TV anymore because Tim Robbins was in it.

Why do we want everyone thinking the same way? I think most Trump supporters are deluded fools, but if they make a good burger or something, I'm not going to boycott it.

Says the guy with the ideology that wants conformity with leftist dogma

That's your favourite word, isn't it? Cwackers is far richer and several magnitudes more intelligent than pond life life like you.

A discussion of how something would play out if it wasn't already existing law is clearly waaaay over his head.

Any private business should be able to discriminate for any reason if we believed in true freedom. That doesn’t mean they SHOULD. In fact I believe that most businesses wouldn’t. Of course when I rented properties, I discriminated all the time. It is much easier than you think. Never sued once.

But many don’t believe in true freedom

I'm simply saying let's say it's a white guy who owns a restaurant and puts a sign out front "no minorities allowed". That would go viral so quick that place would get crushed. And just as some people got outed and fired from their jobs for marching in Charlottesville the same thing would happen to patron's of a white only restaurant.

Why are you opposed to a business being able to serve or not serve those of its choosing? If a business didn't want to serve me for whatever reason, I'd go elsewhere. It seems only certain groups think they have to be told yes no matter what they ask and if they're told no, they whine like little bitches.

Absolutely accurate. Having the ability (can) and using the ability (should) aren't the same thing but those that believe in freedom should not oppose a private business doing what they want in this matter whether they should or not.

The left's definition of true freedom is you can do what you want as long as we think you can.

Let's say a black guy who owns a restaurant puts a sign out from "no whites allowed". While I can only speak for myself, I could care less. It's his business and he can do what he wants when it comes to such things. On the other hand, it seems certain groups get their panties in a wad when someone tells then no. They believe the only answer they should get when asking something is yes.

Yes but I am bloody sure you'd like to go back to the Jim Crow days.

No, I want the whiny little bitches that can't take no for an answer to STFU and quit expecting people to cater to them. Why is it that white people can accept being told no in a situation like this but others can't?

If you're so sure, provide proof of it, son. Just another one making claims he's sure of yet are never able to prove.

You are ignorant of what Jim Crow was

Jim Crow wasn’t private business deciding who to serve and not to serve.

Jim Crow was the government doing it. That should be against the law. I know it is a subtle difference for statists like you but it is a difference nonetheless.

Comprehension, along with integrity, isn't your strong suit

Once again, comprehension

In the case of Trump, I'd like to know -- absolutely. How can I vote with my pocketbook without that knowledge?

That would be a fun world to live in where the gov't followed every restaurant owner into the voting booth (assuming they voted) or came over to their home to watch them fill out their absentee ballot so they can report to customers who they voted for President

I comprehend fine. You're just another NL that thinks they should be told yes anytime they ask a question.

Clearly you didn't comprehend what we were discussing. But always a treat when your true colors shine through
