Are you the type of person who would execute wounded survivors of a missile strike?

It's easy to blow up alleged drug boats and then any survivors. It's much easier than addressing WHY we have such a huge market for those drugs. They can blow up every single boat in Venezuela and we'll still have drugs, dealers, and their customers. Want to "protect Americans"? Start with there.
So you advocate invading Venezuela, and sinking their drug smuggling ships wherever they are found.

My theory is TrumpCo. doesn't want any survivors who might testify it was a pleasure craft, not a drug boat.
Right....an open top boat loaded to the gunwales with cargo that looks like illegal drugs, coming from a country that is known to export drugs to the U.S., running at high speed on the high seas heading toward the U.S.

A pleasure craft! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Exactly. The timeline is important. The double-tap strike occurred in early September. An attack on a submersible in October(?) left two survivors who were repatriated to their home countries. This is odd, but may have been the result of realizing Trump, Whiskey Pete and/or ADM Bradley had committed a war crime the previous month.

What's odd is that a submersible is clearly a threat. A surface craft may not be. Trump repatriates survivors from a submersible, a common drug boat, yet murdered two survivors from a surface craft. This odd behavior can be explained if he realized that the September strike was a war crime and was trying to cover his ass.

2 survivors of suspected drug vessel will be sent to home countries, Trump says

The two survivors of an American military strike on a suspected drug-carrying vessel in the Caribbean will be sent to Ecuador and Colombia, their home countries, President Donald Trump said Saturday.

The military rescued the pair after striking a submersible vessel Thursday, in what was at least the sixth such attack since early September.
What 'war crime', Sybil?

Or are you ok with hundreds of innocent people dying from US drone strikes in several countries that we were not at war with?
I've never had a problem with drone strikes against designated enemies the United States congress has authorized military action against, like Al Qaeda and their affiliates.

I also don't believe right-wing crocodile tears about collateral damage. Anyone seeking an ironclad guarantee there will never be any collateral damage in a lawful war is living in fantasy land.

Agreed on all points. Still, if convicted by the ICC for a war crime, those pardoned may only be free in the US and risk arrest and trial if they ever travel outside our borders.

The Admiral knew better and should pay the price for his actions. This is why Presidents who go general-shopping can set a dangerous precedent.
What 'war crime', Sybil?

MAGAt cracker retards can't be educated.
AGAIN you call yourself a 'cracker' and a 'retard'.
They simply open their mouths and take whatever their Orange Jesus shits puts into it.
Jesus is not orange, Sybil.
Earl is a traitor,
What crime, Sybil?
but probably has some form of brain-damage so I doubt he'll ever be tried for his treason much less hung for it.
What crime, Sybil?
OTOH, he might have an "accident" in the home. A fall, food poisoning, drug overdose, etc.
That's why you're in the mental institution, Sybil. Your violent tendencies.

I wouldn’t believe. anything that PBS quotes or anyone who uses them as a source.
So it that you saying you do not think they would do this and that this is wrong and until you see it verified by a source you trust you will not believe it?

Congress authorized action against illegal drugs and smuggling. They also authorized action against terrorists.

Very strange. IMO, they realized they fucked up in September and tried to make amends in October.

Weirder is that they didn't simply arrest, interrogate and take to court the submersible survivors. Clearly they didn't want witnesses brought the US.
Yes.

If you bring back survivors to try them in court, they get full due process and their day in court. The Trump admin would have to provide proof that it was a drug shipment in transit and not just 'that it is common for that type of craft to be used for drugs'.

For instance, even if the submersible is often used for drugs, does not mean it had drugs in it on that day. It could just be being transported to a new location for any number of reasons from grabbing the next shipment of drugs to going to a shop for mechanical issues. And blowing it up empty would be a crime.
