Are vaccines the new "talisman?"

It seems to be the m.o. of conservatives now. If something can help the pandemic, it's a talisman of oppression, and must be opposed.

I knew we were in trouble a few weeks back when a prominent Fox host called the vaccine rollout "too slick" and said it was something that should give us "doubt."

Getting vaccinated, like masks, has already been completely politicized. And man, is that ever a problem. If we don't get herd immunity on this thing, it might never go away.

I sure hope the vaccines depress our numbers faster than masks did—well, didn’t lol.

Let me guess, it’s now ‘not ok’ to be cautious about putting an experimental substance in your body?

Am I correct?

Once a vaccine is approved, it's not "experimental." You get that...right?

Look at you already justifying the doubt & caution.

Are you trying to refer to the disinfectant and other unproven treatments that the previous admin was pushing?

It may be deemed non-experimental—for whatever it’s worth.

Have there been any deaths associated with the vaccines?

Some that they're investigating to see if there is a direct tie.

Why?

Are you an anti-vaxxer now? I thought you were all Mr. Economy & stuff.....

I’ve had way too many vaccines to be an anti-vax.

These are different. I’d feel better about if they’d been out for even a year. So, it’s not ok to be cautious about it? I didn’t say I wasn’t going to take it—I’m just not in a big hurry to and I may/may not.

You seem to be not ok with that.

LOL. Anything sensible is fucking troll bait.

Let's see, masks reduce spread. An outrage!!!!!

mRNA is 95 percent effective, insane efficacy for any vaccine. Oppression!

These fucking redneck traitor trash keep lowering the bar because they are....

jealous.

But they'd dance a jig, kiss my ring and lick my balls for a dirty wad of cash.

I'm not. A certain # of Americans need to get it, or the efforts of many are wasted and we'll have to continue to deal w/ this thing, hurting a LOT of people.

It's funny - I start a thread saying that conservatives are already politicizing this "talisman," and you back up exactly what I said.

What are you doing to be "cautious" about it? Letting everyone else get it first before you make a decision?

Should get interesting down the road when there are additional vaccines and the access to vaccines becomes more accessible, what happens if say an employer makes employment dependent upon getting vaccinated? or certain services as say air travel require proof of vaccine? schools make getting vaccinated mandatory for in building education?

I'm guessing we are going to hear once again the overused and misused clichés of "freedom" and "liberty" heard often

I guess he'd rather have the real thing than give his body a harmless heads up with a toothless replica that can aid EXTREMELY well in mounting a defense.

Seems prudent to me lol?

Will you take one of these if they tell you to?

I know, right? You've got people like Pasta Primavera pushing hydroxycloroquine while degrading approved vaccines with 95% efficacy.
Chloroquine or Hydroxychloroquine | COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines (nih.gov)

And it's rational? Not political? These morons are KILLING themselves for Trump.

See the link. Hydroxy actually INCREASED hospital stay in covid patients, much less cure anyone.
Large controlled clinical trials proves that does not work. And large controlled clinical trials proves the mRNA vax works super well.

But hey, maybe you have Lupus. :palm:

all of these mrna vaccines are scientific horseshit. they're not traditional vaccines made from virus it treats, it's weird untested gene therapy and the many cases gone wrong are being covered up. many dead, many now shake all the time...horrors.
