Are Social Security "Privitization" Schemes Unconstitutional?

tff...you were discussing it, but then you backed yourself into a corner and now its - we can't discuss income taxes!!!!!!!!

SS taxes are directly related to income, yet you don't want to talk about it.

since the benefits are capped at this time, then they shouldn't pay more than the 106K. deal with it.

I have been discussing SS taxes and how capping the total amount of income that can be taxed is unfair...nothing more.

If you think otherwise then by all means show me where I've mentioned income taxes in general.

SS is related to income, but not income taxes. Its a different issue.

with zappa it is the issue. he thinks its not fair that all his income is taxed for SS purposes, yet he doesn't want to pay their higher tax rate. he wants all his income taxed at a lower rate than theirs, yet, he wants to whine that because they make over 106K, that all their income isn't taxed.

you both have serious money envy

Again. The only way to make that "fair" would be to not cap any benefits at all, allowing them to draw by percentages of input. This would not fundamentally change the current problems in the program.

We raise the taxable income cap on everyone under 40, when they retire their SS benefits are likewise raised.

I'm not saying it's going to solve all the SS problems, but with SS solvency being a problem in the near future, it would help alleviate that problem, giving us more time to work on other solutions.

A pity you don't have the mental capacity to understand this is s discussion of SS taxes.

You can go discuss how fair/unfair the graduated tax scale on income is somewhere else.

The two are completey different topics and people might if you aren't careful, people might start to believe you keep bringing this up because you've gotten stuck in a corner with no way out.

I prefer Onceler's solution which would fundamentally change the program and actually fix the issues not just "patch" them until the pyramid collapses later.

its also a discussion about fairness and how much of your INCOME is taxed. to deny that shows you've backed yourself into indefensible position regarding fairness. you can take your high and mighty demands and shove them up your ass. pity how cowardly you are to discuss the issues, so you want to control the discussion in order so you can avoid uncomfortable truths.

No, yurt, you're wrong. you got backed into a corner and you cant feel good about yourself without conflating another issue into all this.
