How funny. The dems who supported the war resolution are still getting scorned for it because the war turned out to be a huge mistake, and repubs want someone besides themselves to share the blame.

Yet the dems who didn't support the war resolution got scorned for being "anti-American terrorist supporters who cheered when the country got attacked." Now don't get all huffy and say that wasn't in your post. It was certainly a repub mantra for years when the bushies would say anything to keep the country stirred up about the "rightness" of the invasion.

So what is your point, that the Dems should have or should not have voted for the resolution?

I listened to one of Obama's advisers and she said there are a couple of things that both sides agree on, and quite a few that neither will compromise on , I understand what you are saying but if you look at what I was responding to you will see why I responded the way I did, it is all a political game, and the ball is now in the republicans hands, they know they just may win the majority come November if they just keep going the way they are, the American people seen Obama wanted his plan and his secret meetings to push it threw has sickened the American people, that is why all of a sudden Obama wants to play fair
 
The 'republican' party a threat to the republic. Hyperbole? Maybe, but if you think back just a bit to the Clinton election and the rabid response of the right you must surely wonder. Nothing Clinton did was not investigated and Hillary was often portrayed as the reincarnation of Satan. Who set those dogs loose?

First a bit about labels definitions and inclusions, who are the 'republicans.' In a word entrenched interests but much more. Who can we include: the republican leadership in Congress, Glenn Beck's paranoid rantings, Sarah Palin's inept America, Rush Limbaugh finger pointing, Fox, right wing blogosphere, and the tea party's bizarre wake up after the Obama election? And then there are those corporate think tanks that seem completely unable to think.

Where were these so called patriots when Reagan was reducing taxes while wasting billions on defense systems that never worked. To Reagan's credit he did finally raise taxes several times. Where were they when Clinton was taking down the regulatory structure? Clinton too raised taxes. But then critically where were they when Bush Cheney were spending billions invading a sovereign nation based on imaginary WMD? Where were they when Bush Cheney wasted a surplus, giving tax relief to least needy instead of investing in America. Asleep, it would seem so.

In the end the loss of power whether it be William Clinton or Barack Obama has given the republicans and the conservatives the only thing they do well: whine and complain. In power they governed poorly, wasting billions on tax reduction that only exacerbated the greed that led to the financial meltdown, asleep at the wheel prior to 911, and negligent and tardy when Katrina struck. Out of power 'all of the above named' do the only thing they do well. Whine and complain about the government they want back, claim values they never extol, and hope they can come to power once more.
 
The Democrats did the same shit to Bush. His idea to privatize SS was prob ageed to by most but they shot it down. Democrats obstruct just as well.
If they can't get the blue dogs in line shame on them, they have a huge majority and should be able to pass HC and Cap N Scheme (heaven forbid)
