Agreed doubt is not a disqualification for Christianity, but disbelief certainly is a disqualification. That's the whole point of the religion; to accept Christ as your savior. If you don't, then you are not a Christian. By that measure, I'm not a Christian....and I strongly doubt Incels, their supporters and, specific to this conversation, that PostmodernProphet is one either. The difference being that he lies about it and I do not.

PMP is probably the most intelligent Christian that I've had the pleasure to know. Why hate on him, did he melt your snowflake?

As a practicing scientist and a logical thinker, I have complete confidence that Christ is watching over me and my (Catholic) church. To me it's not even a matter of faith but at looking at all the evidence and making a logical finding.

I'm talking about withdrawing government support for addicts and abusers. You do this shit, and you're on your own.

Thanks for the insults. While I can admit to respecting loyalty to a long-time friend, I cannot respect a person thinks a person who regularly calls others "cunts" as the "most intelligent Christian" they know. If you're an American, then about 3/4s of the people you know are Christians, some better than others. IMHO, PmP doesn't measure up as anything more than someone only plays a Christian online....and not very well at that.

While I do not doubt your Catholic beliefs, when you testify that PmP is the "most intelligent Christian", what does that say about your own family and fellow parishioners?

Do you have kids? Regardless if you do or don't, you pay taxes for public school. IMO, it's better to help kids get an education so that they can become productive citizens than for me and my neighbors to build and guard a wall around our neighborhood to fend off gangs of uneducated assholes.

Same for adults: Is it better to lock them up at a cost of $30K/year or spend $30K for one year to rehabilitate them and turn most into productive, tax-paying citizens?

For the third(?) time, the "government support" would be the tax revenue from the drugs themselves, not additional funds. In fact, We, the People, would be saving the $10-15 Billion dollars we spend every year on "the drug war". It should be obvious to any rational adult that the math is there for all to see.

Just so we're clear, I don't give a rat's ass if they kill themselves on drugs. I'd consider it evolution in action. What I do care about is both an authoritarian government dictating how others live and that same government blowing Billions of tax dollars on a failed "war on drugs" and other "wars on sin".

The biggest example is his joy of blatantly using words of hateful dehumanization like that c-word. Swearing isn't that bad as those words don't carry the same aims. Those other types of words are Christian taboo though. They stand in opposition to everything that Christ represented.

Agreed. As I've told him a few times, his conduct belies his claim of being a Christian. He doesn't even try to be one, he just claims to be one. It's pretty obvious he doesn't give a Tinker's Dam about Christian values.
