Are Evengelicals the modern day KKK?

Mott the Hoople

Sweet Jane
The KKK isn't called "The Invisible Empire" for nothing. When the KKK was bankrupted back in the 40's and started taking a lot of public heat during the Civil rights era they pretty much left the public view. That doesn't mean they aren't there. At the same time you also began to see the rise of evengelical Christocapitalist organizations such as "The Moral Majority", "The Christian Coalition", The Eagle Forum, etc." It was at this time that a lot of the modern racist code language began being used.

I think it's pretty obvious that many KKK leaders infiltrated many evengelical organizations and religious right organizations, particularly in the south.

So the question I have is have evengelical churches become the KKKristians?

then its not just evangelicals huh
Uhh well that's a good point but let's discuss Evengelicals first.

Many of the KKK members of first half of the 20th century were leaders and pillars of the community. When the KKK was defrocked those people went into hiding......where did they go? My thinking is that they did not change their views or values but are hiding in plain sight in todays evengelical churches as KKKristians.

It would help your argument if you provided some examples of these so-called KKKristians. I'm sure they exist, but it would be nice if you provided a few examples
