The KKK isn't called "The Invisible Empire" for nothing. When the KKK was bankrupted back in the 40's and started taking a lot of public heat during the Civil rights era they pretty much left the public view. That doesn't mean they aren't there. At the same time you also began to see the rise of evengelical Christocapitalist organizations such as "The Moral Majority", "The Christian Coalition", The Eagle Forum, etc." It was at this time that a lot of the modern racist code language began being used.
I think it's pretty obvious that many KKK leaders infiltrated many evengelical organizations and religious right organizations, particularly in the south.
So the question I have is have evengelical churches become the KKKristians?
