That's an insult, not an ad hominem.
For it to be an ad hominem, it has to be directed at the argument as well as the person, versus just at the person. But I can see how you might think it is one if you take it that my turn of phrase in using think was directed at the argument, so I'll accept that definition too.
And, you are correct, I generally avoid ad hominem and insults but sometimes they're just fun to toss in frivolously like that one. The more classic version is Don't you think, or don't you? That's an ad hominem in the form of a complex question making it more fun as a clever rebuttal to nothing.
