If only this discussion were about the Constitution in public schools, rather than one particular sect's god in public schools.

Second, Homo Sapiens Sapiens have been around for over 160K years. After nearly dying out, human beings migrated out of Africa around 60K-90K years ago. Like the North and South Rim squirrels, geographical boundaries and distances allowed local skin tone mutations to take place as mankind spread around the planet. Notice that all Native Americans were cutoff for about 11,000 years in the Americas resulting in their own variations due to time and geography. Modern trade and travel is eliminating those boundaries.
Lastly, Race Politics came to prominence in the US during the 1960s and it became a calling card of the DNC. Now, an imploding RNC, is turning the idea on it's head and fighting for White Supremacy.

Students in public schools are perfectly free to bring their holy book, wear religious jewelry, talk to their friends about what they believe, pray, etc. What the Constitution tells us is that having *teachers* push their beliefs onto their students, lead them in prayer to their particular deity, or otherwise promote religious beliefs outside of a course, is a violation of the 1st Amendment. The school is a public building, and the staff are public employees. You know that, most of us do.
If most of the kids at a public school were Muslim, would putting up posters with "Alhamdulillah" (praise be to God, Thank God) around the school be okay?

Jefferson, like Franklin, was a Deist. He believed along the lines of a Watchmaker God; God created the Universe, then left it to run on its own. This is one area where the Deists part from the Abrahamic religions, since the Abrahamics all believe God fucks with us or helps those who ask nicely on a minute by minute basis.
OF course it makes no sense, because it is a lie. Teaching children about diversity -- whether that's skin color, language, gender, orientation -- is not a religion. Teaching children to treat others kindly who are different than oneself is not a religion. Teaching them to treat others as they want to be treated is closer, but is still not a religion. Find something else to focus your rage on. I can give you a list if you need one.
