AOC welcomes socialist Mamdani to nation's capital as Dem leaders withhold endorsements

You're wrong about why. They're all monolithic societies with a small footprint. That has far more to do with their social happiness than anything the article claims.
You are as usual. Countries that provide social nets, education and services are happier. Our system, where all the money goes to the top and trickles down, does not work. The wealthier look down on the people and do not care if they starve. Trump is showing us that this is exactly what they want to happen.
The trick is to fool enough people into believing that the super wealthy care about the people. It works on you.
No data shows tht the wealthy will help the masses.

He's correct...and it is you who is wrong, TA.

No, he's not.

In any case, anyone who does not realize that American capitalism can be improved remarkably by borrowing some ideas from the socialists...is just ignorant.

What "ideas from the socialists" would those be?
They were smart enough to realize that borrowing ideas from the capitalists made them stronger. Too bad the people who love to ass-kiss the elites are not smart enough to see the benefits.
They were smart enough to abandon socialism in the economy. That is, they did away with state run industries, made the press less of a puppet of the state, and ended generational welfare.

Even Leftist sources say that socialism in Western Europe has died for the most part.

Eastern Europe benefited most from the fall of the Soviet Union. They dumped socialist / communist economics and social-welfare nearly entirely and rejoined the world economy to see their nations thrive.

Rather that borrowing from capitalism, the socialists of Europe, at least the more sensible ones, abandoned socialism in favor of capitalism only leaving in place some parts of the previous heavy handed social-welfare state. Socialism failed and failed big. It simply doesn't work except in small very tightly controlled doses.

By what measure? Most of the 'studies' on that are skewed heavily towards favoring socialism and socialist policies. That hardly justifies the claims being made. For example, Finland is usually a top nation in those studies. Yet, Finland has one of the highest suicide rates in the world, as but one example.

The trick with capitalism is to make the market free enough that new people can continuously enter and keeping government, unions, and owners from monopolizing and regulating it to death. The rich may get richer, but the middle does exceptionally well when that happens. Trickle down isn't necessary when there's plenty of opportunity for individuals to make good money without being regulated and taxed to death.

Socialism favors the rich and powerful. The trick is to fool the masses into believing that government will care for them in a meaningful way rather than give them just enough scraps to keep a revolution from occurring.

You are so wrong, TA, it makes no sense to go through the bother of laying out a case that your agenda will not reject So instead, I will ask two questions of you. I doubt you will answer them, but realizing that you will not should set up a subconscious marker that may work in the future.

First, the predicate for the first question:

Currently, the wealthiest 10% of Americans own over 60% of the nation's wealth...while the poorest 50% of Americans own less than 6% of the nation's wealth...probably less than 3%. Capitalism (and inheritance taxation) allow for that disparity to widen...and almost totally prevents it from decreasing.

Now the question:

At what point will you agree that something has to be done to prevent the disparity from widening, despite the fact that it would mean significant constrictions on capitalism and inheritance taxation? Would you still be okay if the wealthiest 10% of Americans owned 90% of the wealth? 99%? Where...what number would cause you to allow for significant constrictions on capitalism?

Now, the predicate for the second question:

The cost of healthcare in the US is far, far greater than in any of the other industrialized nations. Our costs are almost $15,000 per person. On average, healthcare costs in other countries are less than half that. Yet the results of that healthcare has us at abysmal lows among nations.

Show me where that list came from. My bet is that it heavily favors socialized medicine systems and all but ignores outcomes.

After all, when Cuba ranks 27th with one of the shittest health care systems in the world, that's the likely case.

As for your question: Would you still be okay if the wealthiest 10% of Americans owned 90% of the wealth? 99%? Where...what number would cause you to allow for significant constrictions on capitalism?

That profile looks like most heavily socialized nations do, not capitalist ones. The top 1 to 5% own everything, everyone else is equally poor. Sure, the poor get crappy government handouts like "healthcare" or food or something but it's all crap.

Google the questions...Bing them...AI them.

You will throw out anything that shows what is readily apparent to almost anyone and everyone, because it does not fit your agenda.
You made the post with those rankings. They came from somewhere. Just post the link to the study or website you used.

Here's a typical one:

They rate healthcare systems on:

Access to care
Care process
Administrative efficiency
Equity
Health outcomes

The US gets top marks in this only for the care process. That is the actual healthcare provided is top notch and excellent. The others are all rated at the bottom. Those other scores are all associated with how socialized the healthcare system is and have NOTHING to do with the quality of the system provides.

Same sort of grading here:

And here:

In most of these assessments, the US comes out in the top 20 usually around 15th because of the quality of their system but falls down because the system isn't heavily socialized.

Venezuela has a socialist government.

Their citizens are leaving in search of food and medicine.

This is what the far left loons want for America.

Where does one go for food and medicine if America were to turn to socialism?
The same place they go now, you fucking idiot. They don't go at all because they can't afford it because your KKK party is determined to kill poor people and keep healthcare unaffordable and unattainable.

As always with you, I had to look this up:

Question: Does Finland have the highest suicide rate in the world?"

"Finland's suicide rate: A closer look

While Finland's suicide rate was among the highest in the world in the late 20th century, it has significantly declined since then, largely due to successful national prevention initiatives.
Finland's suicide rate in 2022 was 740, representing a substantial drop from the peak of 1,512 deaths recorded in 1990.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), as of 2021, the countries with the highest suicide mortality rates are Lesotho, South Korea, and Eswatini.
Finland's suicide rate is now more in line with the European average, though it remains slightly above it.
In conclusion, Finland has made significant progress in reducing its suicide rate, although it still faces ongoing challenges related to mental health and suicide prevention."

Question to google: Show me suicide rates worldwide per country, per capita:

This is only up to 2021, but Finland's not even in the top 10.

More propaganda from you :(

In fact, there's at least some link between higher use of socialism and higher suicide rates.

So, as Nordic countries abandoned the worst of socialism they also saw a decline in suicides.

Even China reducing the relentless hand of Communism on the nation has seen a decrease.

OH! LOLOL, so it's the "decline of socialism" that's going to save our lives. Yes, the millions Republicans just kicked off Medicaid in the US are going to live long and happy lives. Dude <literally shaking my head>.

Dude. You claimed Finland "has the highest suicide rate in the world". Are you going to acknowledge you were wrong or are you going to just keep deflecting.

No I didn't. I stated Finland has one of the highest suicide rates in the world. Their rate is high, and until very recently, one of the highest. You need to up your reading comprehension.
