Again for the moronic that can't grasp the differences:

1) The detainees are there because they CHOOSE to be there. They are not held by force. They are free to go back to their country of origin at any time.

2) The detainees are not 'held without trial', they are awaiting processing. Either via amnesty or deportation.

3) The detainees either are seeking asylum, in which case they chose to be there and go through our process, or they are here illegally and again CHOSE to violate our laws. They are not being rounded up, arrested without cause, detained without due process or anything resembling a concentration camp.

4) AOC was specifically comparing them to Nazi concentration camps. Hence her reference to 'Never Again'.

So no, they are not in the realm of concentration camp by any standard. Especially the one the moronic AOC referred to.

Thanks, but the OPed also stated that- Back in 2014, the Obama administration placed migrant children at Fort Sill, but they were there for only four months and, of course, under the Obama policy, no children died. But this tone-deaf administration already has a body count, and its policy is purely designed to frighten already terrified people from seeking asylum in this country, so it's no surprise that it's raising the ghosts in these places again. It's awful, but it's no surprise.

LMAO... yeah, the influx is worse despite dems assuring us there is no border crisis.

Pretending the 'body count' is due to Trump is absurd. Kids coming in with severe health problems and dying is hardly justification for pretending they are concentration camps.

Also, Obama never held a child for more than 30 days.

Trump has detained children for over 14 months now.

The crisis is the overcrowding of detention centers because you're not doing "catch and release".

As I said before, Obama used Ft. Sill to house a few detainees for only 4 months until some proper facility centers could be finished.

Let's give it 4 months, and then we'll have this debate again.

Again... your original point was the lack of oversight... blah blah blah... was making it GITMO!!!

Now you are spinning about the length of time it was used. Either it became GITMO!!! or it did not. Which is it?

The use of Fort Sill in both cases was due to the number of people being detained at the time. It is not dependent on who is President, but on how many are crossing. So your point of 'wait four months' is moot. Either you approve of the US using Ft Sill or you don't. Which is it?
