I predict a 1 or 2 seat lead by the Democrats in the senate and a loss of the house. I personally think WV will swing to the Republicans, judging on my recent visits there.

This is beyond rich. Jarod you were on here predicting the Democrats would keep the House. Now it seems you have backed away from that prediction. And you have not posted here for close to two weeks (as a board addict I know this) and then come on claiming folks within the last two weeks were predicting a Republican Senate win? Nate Silver is saying that Washington is more likely to go R than WV. But they have to get 51 to truly take the senate, and for that they're going to have to grab California, which is the only other Democratic senate seat that the Democrats don't have a 100% chance of holding. Boxer is only 5 points ahead but she's been ahead consistently and for a long time, so 538 ranks that seat as at a 3% chance of flipping.

You mean how low the turnout is? You should be proud that you're party exists basically because of corporate funding and low turnout.
Honestly, the Republicans are the greatest threat America has ever faced, and ever member of the party should absolutely receive a lifetime ban on holding office and voting.

Why should votes for Republicans count? Why should we count votes for corporations from mindless brainwashed drones? It is impossible for a human being to cast a vote for a Republican, and therefore those who cast votes for Republican clearly can't be citizens. If I did I was wrong, but I dont belive I was on here saying the Democrats would keep the house. It was more than a couple of weeks ago that Republicnas were insistant that the they would sweep the congress.
My best guess as it looks now is that the Democrats will hold the Senate?

I didn't ask you how it looked, I asked for your prediction... WILL THEY or WILL THEY NOT? It's really not that hard, just pick one and make your prediction! What's the matter, are you not willing to predict the outcome at this time? Is there some uncertainty there? Why can't you confidently predict the Democrats will hold the Senate? I dont know if they will or will not, I "predict" the Democrats will hold the senate. I am not tapdancing, I honestly dont know for sure. Yes there is some uncertainty there. I cannot confidently predict the Democrats will hold the Senate, I dont know for sure. I belive the Democrats will hold the Senate.

Finally! That was like pulling teeth from a cat! I just wanted to get you firmly on record with your prediction, because I know how you parse your words... If the Republicans take the Senate, I didn't want you running around saying; I never said I thought Democrats would win the Senate! Now you're firmly on record with your prediction, and that's all I wanted.
Now, on to MY prediction... I said a while back, I didn't think republicans would take the Senate, and may not take the House. I still stand by that prediction. I will be pleasantly surprised if they gain a majority in either one.
That said, regardless of the gains Republicans will obviously make in both, it will completely change the dynamics of Congress. The dangers of a far left-wing agenda are essentially over. Democrats who managed to hang on by the skin of their teeth in this election, had to become "moderate" and distance themselves from Obama, they can't very well return to liberal business as usual now. Likewise, wishy-washy moderate Republicans have been replaced by a much more conservative brand of republican, and the entire 'tone' will change in Congress as a result. Obama will be forced to govern as a centrist, or face the prospects of being a lame duck for the next two years. I think this is a HUGE victory for the right.
