Dems expanded their Senate majority.
Biden's IRS provisions passed in 2022, and became the law of the land. The only way the GOP can repeal the statutorily-required funding is by repealing or modifying the law, which would require consent from the Senate and the president. That's why Obamacare was never defunded.
Every politically savy astute person has known the GOP would almost certainly win the House in 2022. What wasn't expected was that the Republicans would just barely win it with a tiny dysfunctional majority.
TrumpCo set the precedent that the Executive Branch can just ignore subpoenas from congress.
Unless Biden commits flagrant crimes or open corruption, I doubt you can even get all 222 Republicans to vote for impeachment. Losing just 4 moderate Republicans dooms any impeachment fantasies, and GOP ends up with egg on their face.

All good points about the current situation. Except for a lot of squealing and the 2023 equivalent of the Republican's 7 (8?) Benghazi show trials, nothing will happen in the next two years. Complete deadlock in the House except to pass a budget and raise the debt ceiling. This will set up a Democratic takeover of the House in 2024.

Not so sure about that... they seem to be unable to do anything. Gerrymandering got you that, not the will of the voters, taking a hard line is a mistake.
A lot of Kabuki theater for two years intended to drive fund raising, but little of consequence will happen. I could see a government shutdown happening, but every single time that has happened in the past the GOP lost.

I am all for the investigations, and if they turn up impeachable evidence I am for that... Interesting that you consider it a foregone conclusion, are you admitting that the evidence does not matter?
If you were smarter, you'd realize that both the Senate and POTUS has to approve anything the House does.

While a government shutdown is possible, that would just work against the Republicans even more. I doubt they'll let that happen even if it means supporting recall efforts in the states of the Radical Alt-Righties.
