Another VP thread

Sherrod's a good man but he's a bit of a nebbish. He'd be a good match for old iron britches, that's for sure. But he'd be nuts to give up his Senate seat so that's probably not going to happen. He's also about as far to the left as Bernie is. God bless Ohio. We got all types.

Actually the last Senator we had that wasn't a nebbish was Glenn.

The betting odds sites have Kasich as having top odd to get the GOP Veepstakes and Julian Castro on the Dems side.

Its one thing to have odds on the presidential elections, because we have candidates and polling and such... But to take bets on something as random as VP is silly, its all 100% based on rumor, innuendo and gossip, unless your an insider at one of the campaigns.

Jarod...well of course it is. That's true of sports booking too. That's why it's called gambling.

I don't know, if you study politics one can make an educated guess about the chances of the presidential candidates and maybe out smart the odds makers, same with sports, but with something like a VP pick it seems very random, more like betting on a roulette wheel than playing poker.

Zero % chance Hillary choses Bernie. She's not going to want a socialist on the ticket, and she doesn't even like him at all.

More likely she will go with Corey Booker, or someone of this sort, to sure up the black vote.

Some polling is show blacks defecting to Trump so she'll want to sure up that support.

Trump could go with Carson and try to get some of the minority vote, and create an outsider ticket. But I doubt it.

He may go with a women, like Former AZ governor, or maybe Kasich to sure up Ohio.

Party first guys may not want it. NOT sure any milItaly guys with profile exist. BO saw to that.
A FP sort would be good. Bolton would rock it but too polarizing. Out of the box is most likely.

Mcchrystal or Petraeus. Of course Petraeus is damaged goods with the leak scandal and not viable.

There are guys who seek to position themselves as veep as its a pretty good way to set you up for prez after your guy clocks out.

If he can get McChrystal or Petraeus on board, I am not sure either would be willing to stake his reputation by such a close association with Trump. I don't know McChrystal, but I know people who know Petraeus, despite his failing, he is very concerned with his public reputation.

Bernie the non corporatist endorses Hillary the major corporatist.. Yeah his supporters (mostly young anti establishment Clinton haters) should jump right on that hypocrites train.

It's far more difficult to predict than who would become POTUS or win their parties nomination. Probabiliteis are probabilities. Even if Hillary has a 75% probability of winning the general she still has a 25% chance of losing.

But to be clear. Veeps are usually chosen to either balance the ticket geographically or ideologically.
