Another shooting school, just another day in America

Despite PO1 Glider's immature and abusive conduct, I agree with him that inanimate objects harm no one. It takes a human being to decide whether to use a tool for good or evil.

Yeah I understand. I am just helping him see a hole in his argument. There have been accidental discharges even when nobody's around. In fact one was killed when his gun fell off and it discharged, hitting him in the chest, killing him.

Thank you. Obviously, he needs all the help he can get.

As for the accident you described, someone loaded it, cocked it and knocked it off the table.

A gun is a tool like a shovel or an SUV. Both of the latter have been used to murder people. Why Democrats focus on guns is just a habit reinforced by 50 years of Nannyism.

Oh God please help me. I am dealing with a literal retard over here.

You said that guns accidently fall of of tables and dressers.

I was just wondering how they do that on their own...

Second, I was agreeing with that person about mental illness and *I* expanded on it.

Why repeat what was already said? It makes no sense.

Because you didn't expand on it. This is what you said:

One poster has a point about mental illness and how the person was growing up would contribute to that.

That's it, and that's miles away from suggesting how we might curb gun violence...

Guns just don't fire on their own, nor do they fall off of dressers and tables on their own...

Regardless, it's people who determine how to use a tool. It took a human being to load that weapon and place a round in the chamber.

The remarkable thing about human beings is our ability to turn anything into a weapon. Waterboarding uses water and a towel for torture. Abusive people use cigarettes to burn kids. Singling out guns as the evil that plagues mankind is missing the point that its human beings that are the tool manipulators.

That's true. Banning or regulating them makes it worse.

Boy, 4, killed by shards of glass from falling picture frame at home in North Philly

Lets ban glass

It's the will of Allah.

Qul lan yusībanā illā mā kataballāhu lanā huwa mawlānā wa-‘alallāhi falyatawakkalil-mu’minūn
Say, ‘Nothing will befall us except what Allah has ordained for us. He is our master, and in Allah let the believers put their trust.’

Also yes it takes a person to load the gun. Glider said he could put his loaded gun on the floor and nothing would happen on it's own.

That's true. Banning or regulating them makes it worse.

What's worse is an attitude that government should be used to control people instead of used to resolve conflicts of rights and to maximize human freedom.

:palm:

This guy thinks I think guns move on their own.

Well, no, I realize you probably don't.

But I'm happy to drive the intelligence bus through the hole in your argument.

I said guns hurt no one on their own. That's true, and it's undeniable.

But in order for a gun to fall off of a table, there has to be something which causes it to fall of the table, wouldn't you agree? Would you also agree that the "something" which causes it to fall off the table would be, in all likelihood, a person?

So, it requires the actions of a person to result in the scenario you talk about.

And you're still proving to be a failure at answering what you would do to curb gun violence...

Well, no, I realize you probably don't.

Who the hell thinks inanimate objects move on their own? Maybe ghost hunters and psychics.

But I'm happy to drive the intelligence bus through the hole in your argument.

you didn't.

I said guns hurt no one on their own. That's true, and it's undeniable.

Right and you asked me for an exception and I provided one. Now you are going nuts over it. I know you cannot come to terms with your loss.

But in order for a gun to fall off of a table, there has to be something which causes it to fall of the table, wouldn't you agree? Would you also agree that the "something" which causes it to fall off the table would be, in all likelihood, a person?

Anything could cause it move. I.e. a slight slope, low friction, wind, slight tremor and such. It is unpredictable. AssHatZomie gave another example.

So, it requires the actions of a person to result in the scenario you talk about.

No it does not as explained above.

And you're still proving to be a failure at answering what you would do to curb gun violence...

*Sighs* I'll spell it out for you AGAIN! Proper mental health screening and universal healthcare. Observe behaviors in students and children. Observe the bullying. Observe the emotional and mental stress. And so on. Address them before it's too late.

That's true to a point. Newton's First Law of Motion.

First-Law-of-Motion.jpg

True. The gravity is a force. If you place a gun, especially that it's heavy, on a low friction table that is slightly tilted. It may stay at rest to your eye. Then the gravity does the rest.
