There was one industrial revolution and it led to the Industrial Age. It was preceded by the Rennaissance which provided the basic intellectual and mechanical means--like the printing press--to allow it to happen. Prior to that, the world was in the Ancient Period or Age. We are currently in the Electronics Age, a result of the Electric Revolution.
