Another proof the Left has no sense of humor

He is alright from the little I listened

Pretty anti religion and leans hard on sex jokes and his looks

What is this thread about dude?

Once grind gave me a bunch of shit for always talking politics on this site

I told him I was sorry and that I didn’t know what I was thinking when I came to a political site called just plain politics and trying to discuss politics

It’s an idiot tactic the right uses

Now you're talking to yourself...that is funny...
So you don't think Matt is funny? I'm just trying to brighten your day now....

OK... but I was responding to this..."If somebody actually knew how to be funny today,
no promotor or producer would have the balls to showcase him/her." And Matt is pretty darn funny...and they're showcasing him now...That's all...;) I don't think anyone judges his performance on how he's dressed... but I understand that you're old school...not a thing wrong with that... Were you a Bob Hope fan?

If we're being honest, I always preferred skit humor to stand up.

Sid Caesar, Carl Reiner, and Howard [not the younger Howie] Morris used to have me on the floor back in the 1950s.

Caesar had this hipster character wearing inch thick sunglasses, a beret, and holding a tenor saxophone.
The minute he opened his mouth, the seven or eight year old me would be on the floor. Even before with the visual.

I laughed a lot harder at tv and film comedians than I did at stand up comics.

As for the latter, I remember seeing Jay Leno live when he was basically a kid opening for strippers.
The Gestapo and I weren't much older and were dating at the time. [Yes, the Gestapo would go see strippers with me, rolling her eyes and shaking her head.]
Since we've been married for over fifty years, that will give you a time perspective.

In more recent years, I've liked some of Lewis Black's stuff.

Stupid tactics tinged with a pretense that you didn’t understand what was said

It’s not funny

Congrats on the 50...that is impressive...;) I remember Sid and Carl...not Howard... How interesting about Jay...
Normally, I don't pay much attention to standup, but pretty recently someone shared a couple of short tik tok clips, one with Doug the Pug, and well, he just makes everyone laugh...unless you have no sense of humor...He's doing very well now...someone gave him a chance and he ran with it...He's going Nation and World wide...good for t-shirt boy...;)

Wait. TA Gardner claims that Elon Musk saying that liberals have no sense of humor is 'more proof'?

Well then, if Musk is so smart, I guess he's right about this, too:

Elon Musk Warns of a Bleak Future if Climate Change Isn't Addressed

The Tesla founder predicted that unchecked environmental damage would give rise to hundreds of millions of refugees.

Elon Musk, co-founder of electric carmaker Tesla Motors, warned on Thursday that climate change will spark a refugee crisis of catastrophic proportions if no action is taken.
In a speech in Berlin, the Tesla chief executive said Europe's current wave of people seeking asylum, prompted mostly by political violence, will be dwarfed as fresh water becomes scarce, food supplies become insecure and weather changes in the coming decades.
"Today's refugee problem is perhaps a small indication of what the future will be like if we do not take action with respect to climate change," Musk told an audience at Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. "Today, the challenge is in terms of millions of people, but in the future, based on what the scientific consensus is, the problem will be in the hundreds of millions and much more severe."

to be fair, he said that back in 2015......I'm sure he's much smarter now.....
