I'll settle for a ban on the sale and possession of high capacity magazines. I am a reasonable man. I have not found anything close to reasonable from the gun crowd here. Shock me.

So what's exactly 'high capacity'? Because last I checked all my magazines are STANDARD capacity. My guns were designed to use those magazines. Using an inferior replacement could potentially kill me or anyone else who's gun was designed the same way. And again, you'd criminalize those who have never committed any crime, with no real gain to be shown in the future. Sounds mighty authoritarian.

I'm sure if you look hard enough, like say, in the Constitutition, that there is plenty of reasonable approaches from gun owners. Shall not be infriniged is pretty set in stone though, as is the right of the people part. Now if you'd like to see that changed, you can go and get the Constitution amended, because otherwise you're simply being a authoritarian tyrant.

Current proposed legislation is to ban gun magazines that feed more than 10 rounds at a time.

Nice deflection. How is it not authoritarian to criminalize millions of law abiding people? It seems to me you're the one afraid, because you want to paint people who obey the laws as some sort of social deviant and want to put them in jail for life for committing no crime.

Have you ever been in a gun fight? I'll assume no. I have. Those magazines are useful tools. That's why police and the military use them even though they have the advantage of back up and body armor. Not to mention, as I've said many times before, those guns are designed to use those magazines. Using an inferior product is mroe likely to result in a weapons failure and that could happen when someone needs their gun to be effective.
Not that it matters much though, because it's a RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE.
