Another mass shooting recently happened in a Chicago park.11 people were killed including a small child, How does the Right support its opposition to gun control with so many mass shootings happening so close together.

Because, as the Naval Yard shooting shows, 'gun control' doesn't actually DO anything to prevent crime.

wow, 2 mass shootings in one week in some of the most gun control heavy areas of the country.

We should have more gun control. That'll solve it.

12 people are nothing. 4 people are nothing. 10,000 people each year are nothing. They are big scary numbers in your head, but compared to all the other stupid things people die from each year, it's on par or even under. (such as 30,000 deaths from automobile accidents every year - that's 10 9/11's).

And there's another. Most Leftists (I refuse to call them Liberals) are up in arms about the Patriot Act and the idea of all Americans giving up their rights because of 9/11, but somehow something far less deadly and far less preventible is cause to deny rights to all Americans? Don't they see the parallels? No, of course they don't. They understand nothing of precedent or historical justification.

roughly 10k people die each year from guns. that is .000033 of the population.

your chances of getting killed by a gun in any particular year is 1 in 30,000... probably around 1 in 350 lifetime over a span of 80ish years.

Not to mention your chances of getting killed by a gun are lower if you live in an area that isn't high on gun control in the usa.

Cancer is 1 in 7 to kill you in your lifetime.
heart disease 1 in 5,
dying in an auto accident is 1 in 100,
killing yourself by falling the fuck over from somewhere is 1 in 250 for gods sake.

You gun grabbers are fraidy cat pussies.

All this faux outrage would be better spent getting people to stop eating cheeseburgers.

Guns are not a serious threat.

No amount of stupid dead kids will ever change my mind.

Our side is more dedicated than yours. We always will be. Gun grabbers only practice faux outrage, they don't really care when the going gets tough.

20 kids got their faces blown open, and you couldn't even muster expanded background checks 2-3 months later, LOL!!!

FROM OUR COLD DEAD HANDS MOTHERFUCKERS!

yup I have made the same point. They are just hypocrites that use emotion to further their own selfish agenda. Guns are just scary and icky to them, that's really what it boils down to.

How do you continue to support gun control when events like this are the result of Chicago having some of the country's strongest gun control laws?

With the Chicago police chief threatening to have his officers shoot people legally carrying firearms, those who disregard gun control laws are obviously becoming more emboldened.
