If you said Biden has dementia you are right. The type of dementia he has is called Vascular Dementia. The origin of Biden's Vascular Dementia was a brain bleed from a burst cerebral aneurysm he experienced in 1986. Soon after, he was rushed to hospital and had a craniotomy to clip the ruptured aneurysm and clip another cerebral aneurysm the surgeon discovered that had not yet burst.
The surgery itself would have caused some brain bleed in addition to that from the ruptured aneurysm before it was clipped.
Brain bleeds from strokes and ruptured aneurysm, brain surgery, etc; are well know to be likely causes of Vascular Dementia in the future.
I agree that senility is a common generic term for cognitive decline in elderly persons. So it's perfectly reasonable to say that Biden is senile. But if you wanted to be more precise you would say his senility is due to Vascular Dementia.
Sorry if I sound like a smart-ass, it's just that I used to work in medicine when I was younger..
