Now here's were you intellectual cowards on the neocon/teabagger side play dumb.....acting as if there is only ONE way in the American language to express a point/contention/assumption/accusation, etc.
From the transcript:
Zimmerman:
Yeah, now he’s coming toward me. He’s got his hands in his waist band.
And he’s a black male.[1:03]
911 dispatcher:
How old would you say he is?
Zimmerman:
He’s got something on his shirt. About like his late teens.
911 dispatcher:
Late teens?
Zimmerman:
Uh, huh.
Something’s wrong with him. Yep, he’s coming to check me out.
He’s got something in his hands. I don’t know what his deal is. [01:20]
TWICE Zimmerman refers to TM having his hands... first in his waist band and then having "something" in his hands. If you listen to the audio, Zimmerman is nervous, expressing apprehension as to TM motives and manners! Remember, Zimmerman already had described TM to the dispatch as a potential criminal who was acting suspicious...which would coincide with recent burglaries in the neighborhood.
If he didn't think TM might have been armed, then why keep referring to his hands as if they were a potential threat?
And remember, THIS WAS WHEN ZIMMERMAN WAS IN HIS CAR, BEFORE MARTIN "RAN AWAY" AFTER COMING UP TO LOOK AT HIM. Since Zimmerman had ALREADY given his location to the cops, there was NO NEED for him to get out of his car for further pursuit.
THAT IS WHAT INITIATED THE CONFRONTATION. HAD ZIMMERMAN STAID IN THE CAR, TM WOULD STILL BE ALIVE.
Now you can be Super Freak(ing) stubborn and just deny the chronology of the facts and refuse to concede a point, but no rational person buys insipid stubbornness as a valid point to argue. So if you've got nothing else on the subject, I'd say we're done.
