I'll use a football analogy. Your Steelers have definitely been great in the NFL. But they've also had some down periods. One could say you want the Steelers to be great again.

The Arizona Cardinals did make a Super Bowl but they've essentially stunk their entire existence. They have never been great.

Well, even I think America is great, and I refused to vote for Trump. Even when Dems are in power, Republicans think America is great. When Dems are in power, they still seem most animated when things are going wrong (like Trayvon/Ferguson/Beer Summit/Drone surveillance/Pot raids/etc.).
