Widely read conservative Internet publisher Andrew Breitbart, whose flare for battle with politicians and the mainstream media earned him a reputation as one of the nation's most influential commentators, died Thursday.

The websites he founded ran a statement Thursday morning announcing that Breitbart, 43, died "unexpectedly from natural causes" in Los Angeles shortly after midnight. His attorney and editor-in-chief of those sites confirmed his death to Fox News.

If things happen in three does the death of Davey Jones and Beibart mean a third is coming or does that analogy not work in this case because Beibart isn't really known outside of partisan political circles?
 
Wow.

He was filling in for Dennis Miller last week and I listened to him on my way home.

What a sudden tragedy for his family. :(
 
Yeah, the real sad part is he has four young kids. It's sad whenever someone loses a parent but to lose one when you are a child is pretty devestating.

The 'analogy' is a truism because we can always adjust the threshold of who is famous or how long the 'in threes' time period is.

Another thing to consider is that random events tend to cluster -- if they were evenly spread apart they wouldn't be random.

Quite the contrary. It says he died of natural causes, whatever is considered "natural" at 43 years of age.

Any idea to what they could be referring?

I read that he had a heart problem? That is what I read somewhere today.

The last I saw him he was raving like a wild-eyed lunatic at a bunch of Occupy demonstrators outside of the CPAC convention. The video was widely circulated online because he looked so crazy.

I thought and said at the time, cocaine.

But you know, who knows? I really don't even care. Maybe his family put out natural causes before anyone can ask any questions. Maybe it was natural causes. Maybe they aren't sure yet. Most obits i have seen would state "sudden heart attack" if that is the case but who knows. Very young to die, regardless, but I didn't know him and don't have much interest. I was surprised it wasn't posted on here earlier that is all.
