The press switched to other subject matters because people were tired of hearing about the Russian investigation, and there was other juicier news. Cable news is all about ratings and money. It is easy why they dropped it.

It isn't that the investigation is over, not yet! Probably will be another year!

The headline suggests beef but there's barely a pickle hiding under the bun. It even has Sekulo saying he hasn't received a request for documents from Mueller. But recently, Mueller did receive some documents and in them it has Trump's campaign refusing contacts from Russia on account of the Logan Act.

The term 'Nothing burger' was coined for this sort of thing.
