And here it comes lol

Science!

What a joke and a slap in the face that would be to both Trump and common sense.

And it wouldn’t surprise me in the least.

So basically:

Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize.
Greta wins the Noble Peace Prize.

Everybody loses their collective mind. Am I right? Can somebody explain that to me?

If Trump did something peaceworthy, then he deserves the Noble Peace Prize.

What, exactly, is the problem?

Saving the Planet

Well, I know they gave it to the IPCC and the Goracle in 2007. Not sure how they qualified for it.

"According to Nobel's will, the Peace Prize shall be awarded to the person who in the preceding year "shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses"."

You left out Arafat.

Problem? Just pointing out that the Nobel committee would have to be dragged kicking and screaming to the mailbox to send an invitation to Donald J. Trump to pick up his Peace Prize—even though he’s fully deserving of it.

What does Greta have to do with world peace?

Isn’t that Trump to a T lol?

How about you go to the Nobel website!

With regard to the Peace Prize, the will of Alfred Nobel stipulated that it was to be awarded to the person "who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses". Over the course of time the Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded in recognition of many different kinds of peace work and concepts of peace.

That’s been the problem all along.

He/they put the Palestinians first and it’s been a case of herd mentality for at least two decades. The *assumption* was the Arab nations wouldn’t abandon the Palestinian but it took ‘some outside the box’ thinking to test that assumption.

And, bingo.

Makes you wonder how ridiculously easy some of these foreign problems can be fixed with a little more ‘diversity of opinion’ on board.

Obama did nothing to deserve it.

This is what happens when you give someone something he/she didn't earn and for reasons other than why it should be awarded.

Our foreign policy establishment is rigid thinking moralistic Cold War-ish

It's crazy how some people go crazy over this.

It's interesting.

You missed the lol in the thread title lol?

I think it’s kind of comical in the sense that the Nobel committee is forced to consider the prospect of having to give the Bad Orange Man their Peace Prize.

And then, *as a consequence* of giving Trump their Peace Prize, American voters decide that, at the end of four years, it was Orange Man Good, after all.

You don’t find that kind of comical?

Yes. I find your thinking comical.

When you say "Bad Orange Man", you've lost all argument.
