An American success story

McDonald's CEO Don Thompson grew up near the Cabrini Green housing project.

He studied hard, and worked hard.

His work was rewarded, not by Congress and government, but by the grateful shareholders of the corporation he serves.

Don Thompson was paid $13.8 million in 2012, up 237% over the previous year.

He's swine (no, less than that, because a pig produces something) whose only social "virtues" are to extenuate centralization, and to deny individuals access to the natural world and fruits of their labor.

Wow. Can you link me up to some proof that he produces nothing, because McDonald's board thinks he does a great job. He has a 73% approval rating on glassdoor.com.

oh you mean you wont scream that he is destroying Micky Ds?

gee then why do you not want the people to raise the minimum wage if its Ok to raise it?

You're arguing two different things here.

McDonald's is in the business of doing what is best for McDonald's. What is best for one business may not be the best for another business. What works best for McDonald's may not work best for America as a whole.

because America as a whole cares about people more than money huh?

That is how it should be.

People should be protected by the laws so they can not be exploited by these corps who care nothing about human lives and only care about profit.

We have a minimum wage in this country.

it has not been raised in years.

It is NOT in line with reality.

why do you want people to live in misery so the profits can continue to climb?

why not set down a percentage of the profits has to go to wages and benefits?

why you only care about profits?

I don't know why he moved in the sixth grade.

"Several magazines have chronicled his humble start while noting his achievement as one of corporate America's most successful African-Americans.

Thompson skipped a grade while growing up in Chicago. So at age 10, when McKenna believes Thompson was in the sixth grade, his grandmother, fearing growing gang activity on the Near North side, moved him to Indianapolis."
