because i know enough of the technical aspects of communications to know that we'll also have our own secure communications.

and with regards to the posse commitatus issue, how badly would the political situation devolve when other cities see a major city torched by the feds?

now, lets try a hypothetical for you. Let's say a group of people who keep to themselves are rumored to have a couple dozen machine guns, but there is no evidence whatsoever that they intend to harm anyone with them, why should the government try to kill them?

If the major majority of the citizens had guns, regular guns, they could stop the government. The intention of the Founding Fathers was not for a handful of wackos to stop the government or for someone to cause a lot of collateral damage trying.
