Seattle recently passed a payroll tax, and I saw an editorial noting that they haven't made any response to it. Previous tax initiatives from the council were met with significant opposition by Amazon.

The silver lining is that it was just a package of elastic facemask straps, and they originated from Kohls. There is one in my town, and, so, I drove over to their Amazon returns counter, got refunded with a 25% store coupon, and Amazon automatically re-ordered the item from a different vendor (sorry Kohls).

Because it is a target of the evil Seattle city council, and because Bezos has never sold a local sports team out-of-state (like Howard the Duck of Starbucks), I tend to have a soft spot for Amazon (AOC hates it, as well).

Seattle fucked them....their employees who allowed their minds to be warped at the Failed UNiversities fucked them...and Amazon never had reason to expect that civilization was failing.....in large part because both the University and the Journalists have failed....and of course the political class too as we all know.

I will be curious to see what the state of affairs for Amazon looks like in a year, after COVID isn't around to dramatically boost sales, and the city council has had more time to fight with it.

Dori was on with Rantz (like a week ago, but, he's been a guest several times), and he's pretty pissed about Defund, and other nonsense.
