Amazing how the left forgets its own hate talk and pretty much everything i've seen in the media, on this board etc...blames solely the conservatives, repeated is the claim that is mostly from the right and that that hate shouldn't stop unless and only unless the right begins the process first.

perhaps if we start with an honest discussion and stop blaming one party, we might be able to move towards a more civil nation when it comes to politics. there is plenty of hate from the right, however, the lefties here and in the media have that plastered everywhere, so let's see if it really is pretty much solely from the right as many on the left would have you believe.

Dem. Governor advocating shooting, maybe killing, bush
Gov. Steve Beshear, who has remained neutral during the presidential primary and who will serve as a Kentucky superdelegate at the national convention in August, avoided talking about the Democratic candidates by criticizing President Bush.

“When I mention that Democrats are problem solvers, I can think of only one Republican who can be a problem solver — that is Vice President Dick Cheney if he would just take George on a hunting trip,” Beshear said. Cheney accidentally shot fellow quail hunter Harry Whittington in Texas in 2006.

New Hampshire Lawmaker Resigns After "Dead Palin" Comment

Responding to a thread on Facebook, New Hampshire State Rep. Timothy Horrigan reportedly posted a message Wednesday night that read, "Well a dead Palin wd be even more dangerous than a live one...she is all about her myth & if she was dead she cldn't commit any more gaffes."

Meanwhile, Democratic activist Keith Halloran, a candidate for the New Hampshire House, has also apologized for posting on Facebook a death wish for Palin, according to the Associated Press.

In a thread relating to the plane crash that killed former Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens this week, Halloran wrote, "Just wish Sarah and Levy were on board." The comment appeared to be in reference to Palin and the father of her grandson, Levi Johnston. Halloran reportedly posted an apology on his Facebook page, saying he wishes the best for the Palin and Johnston families

Consequences?

I condem the statements listed above, in find it discusting. I am glad you finally found such a quote on the other side, and will note that the New Hampshire lawmaker was forced to resigh, while Palin is Defended and loved by her 30%.

Yeah - the people in those photos look exactly like the leftie equivalents of Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Charlton Heston, et al.

Good call, Yurtsie!

On July 11, 2007, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Betty Williams gave the keynote speech to the International Women’s Peace Conference in Dallas, Texas, and said (to laughter and applause from the audience):

“I mean right now, I could kill George Bush, no problem. No, I don’t mean that. I mean — how could you nonviolently kill somebody? I would love to be able to do that.”

....

On August 4, 2000, when Bush won the Republican nomination (but before he was president), Craig Kilborn on CBS’s The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn ran a graphic of the words “SNIPERS WANTED” under George Bush as he gave his acceptance speech.

Where were you when they were being made? Do you think that this kid who tried to kill Giffords was caused to do so by this rhetoric?

consequences....why aren't you saying that these words, pictures etc have consequences in terms of the shooters actions yesterday? why is it only the rights words have consequences?

This guy isn't exactly in Bachmann and Palin's demographic. Even for your average lone assassin he's crazy.

good point, i actually am surprised you're being so objective about this

further, onceler of course ignored the governor and other dem activists like palin

Where were you when they were being made? Do you think that this kid who tried to kill Giffords was caused to do so by this rhetoric?

If they were brought to my attention I would have condemed them... I dont belive this guy was caused to do anything solely by ANY SPECIFIC rhetoric.

You dont seem to be reading what I am posting, or you are reading WAY too much into it, or you are simply seeing only what you want to see.

consequences....why aren't you saying that these words, pictures etc have consequences in terms of the shooters actions yesterday? why is it only the rights words have consequences?

1) None of them specifically called out this guys Congresswoman.
2) I never said anyones actions had "Consequences in terms of the shooters actions yesterday."
3) Everyones words have consequences, being right or left does not change that.

notice how the uber far lefties Zappa and onceler do not call out, nor condemn any of the statements of hate or death posted by the left

that really shows how they honestly feel about this, instead of calling them out or condemning, they both attacked the right instead with sex talk or false equivalencies

but they specifically called for the death of bush or wished death to palin

like i said, you are in fact blaming palin for the shooters actions, no one else on the list has been shot, but you want to pretend that it was palin's poster that caused this guy to shoot 19 people

that is disgusting jarod and really shows how full of hate you are

i knew this thread would be largely ignored by the lefties and i knew far left wack jobs like onceler and zappa would not condemn, rather they would attack and deflect onto the right
