Once again, no books are being banned or even restricted (definitely not banned, and even if you want to call something restricted, hell, lots of things are restricted, to both adults and children There's parking restrictions, most military bases have restricted access, have you ever seen an "R" rated movie? The R literally means restricted). PARENTS have spoken on the matter. And there's not a damn thing stopping those parents from checking these books out and reading them with their kids or letting them read them on their own. Hell, they can even buy them on amazon and own them without fear of the "theocracy". Find another windmill to joust at.

I'm an uncle, so I damn sure don't want my nephews to grow up in the type of world that DeSantis is pushing for in Florida. Years ago, I worked with a woman who got out of Shah Pahvil's Iran. She was always amazed at how we took for granted being able to read anything we chose and say out loud what we think without threat of being arrested or "disappeared". So unless you or someone can tell me exactly what is so threatening or wrong or deviant about Ms. Gorman's books, you're just a prelude to what that woman escaped from.

As for my definitions; like it or not, you're banning kids from reading certain books WITHOUT ANY DEFINED REASON. That's how it shakes out, toodles...the end result.
