A Florida school has banned four books for elementary students after one parent objected to the titles and argued they were inappropriate. One of them was a collection of poems by Amanda Gorman that includes her noteworthy The Hill We Climb piece, which she recited during the last presidential inauguration.

The Miami Herald, citing records obtained by the Florida Freedom to Read Project, reports that a parent at Bob Graham Education Center in Miami Lakes objected to five titles at the K-8 school. The others, however, were deemed "more appropriate” for middle school-aged children, and will now be in the middle school section of the school's library, the Herald reports.

I went through the Catholic school system from 1 through 12 grades. In 7th grade we had to read Orwell's "Animal Farm". By 8th grade we read "Death Be Not Proud".

One has to wonder if these books would pass the bar you pseudo-fascist MAGA trolls are so proud of?

Well, in at least two of the books, ABC's of Black History and Love to Langston that isn't true. In the later book for example, they gloss over that Langston Hughes was an antisemite, racist, radical Leftist Communist, and political agitator of his time. If he were White, the book would have been banned for sure in any school district run by Progressive Leftists. Here's one of Hughes' published works:
