It is so hard to keep up with lefties and hard to follow their positions.

On one hand they scream

"Maybe we could feed the poor if we spent less on the military"

Trump wants us to spend less money on NATO i.e. the military and the lefties squeal

"You are being isolationist. We have to honor our commitments"

Can't win with these fuckers. So stop trying. Steam roll them
 
The E.U. is essentially a borderless country now by their own choice. Their "state" leaders are basically acting as governors. Let them take care of their "states". It would be like Idaho wanting some type of cooperation and help with them. Never happen. They'd call Idaho and say, "Take it up with U.S. government.

I'm not sure..remember Congress didn't even need to approve the Iran nuke deal ( which was a treaty by all measures) because it was set up by "International executive agreement" [the P5+1 UN arrangement]

Congress is absolutely AWOL on all matters from declaration of war to treaty ratifications.
They cede all the powers to the executive in favor of the dog and pony show they run as Congressional business .

We basically are a unitary presidency government, with Congressional powers more as window dressings then expressed powers
 
Merkel is grandstanding for her re-election, but the Paris accords are flawed.

Article 5 is still in play - witness the escalation of US forces in our current Cold War 2.0 ..NATO integration is not at risk
But a more independent Europe is a good thing
