Merely enforcing our borders is sufficient.

Specialization is a tactic from scientific management to dehumanize and decompartmentalize labor, but you seem to be talking about how more laborers drives wages down, an incontrovertible fact. It's not bad for the economy per se, but it's bad for american laborers. IF they don't count in your assessment in determining the state of the economy, that's your own elitist attitude.

I can relate. I worked though a good chunk of high school and most of college in the Restaurant business, though I worked mostly diners and specialy Restaurants. Still it sucked. Hard work with low wages.

I cook as a hobby and often have friends ask me why I don't consider opening a restaurant. Other than wanting to lose my money I usually tell them "I can tell you've never worked in a restaurant before."
