Teen Gives Officer Parking Ticket - His Response...

A Baytown, Texas, teen recently saw a police car parked in a fire lane near her apartment complex and wrote the officer a ticket.

"He was parked on the side of the building. It said it was a fire lane all the way around," 14 year-old Annie Jones told KPRC-TV.

Officer Tommy King found the ticket on his windshield and started laughing.

Jones' ticket asked King to pay $10 to the apartment manager. He was so impressed that Jones didn’t ask for the money to be paid to herself, that the officer paid the manager and gave Jones a $40 gift certificate to Toys 'R Us.

"I have a new friend. I think the lesson is not to be afraid of law enforcement, we're here to help," King told KPRC-TV.

I notice he also laughed his ass off about being caught breaking the law that he felt he didn't need to obey. it's a wonder he didn't tase her, but then again he was all alone without any backup and was probably too afraid to deal with her in any other manner.

Awwwww...isn't it cute how STY has to make up BS to preserve the warped view he has of the cops?

It must suck when someone points out a story about the police that doesn't fit STY's nutbar narrative?

If he felt he didn't need to pay it, then he'd have told the kid to go "F" herself.

It's cute watching STY embellish on a story to make the narrative fit his insane view of law enforcement officers.

Didn't see anything about anyone laughing their ass off - the rest is just you expressing the fear that's eating away at you, from the inside.

How do you know it was a non-emergency?

I can't seem to find a citation in the article saying any such thing?

any word on lights? you believe that the media would not have sensationalized some emergency incident going on at the time? would the girl have bothered writing a ticket had there been an ongoing emergency? are you always this obtuse?

it's also amusing that I can post dozens of incidents about police abuse, yet you can barely post two

So that's a "no" you DON'T KNOW it was a non-emergency...

Why are you so desperate to ASSume so much regarding this particular story?

STY believe or not, cops are allowed to park in fire lanes as its considered an emergency vehicle. Grant it, some cops use this power to dick around, some are responding to a real emergency. My only issue are the cops that run red lights without their Code 3 lights one
