I like Keyes' political ideas, but on a personal level, the guy is an arrogant prick.

For those who don't know, Keyes ran (sorta) for the Republican presidential nomination this year. The results were laughable to say the least. Then, after departing from the Republicans, he went on to suffer the embarrassment of losing the Constitution Party nomination. Ouch!

Now, he is running as an independent, expecting his supporters to work their asses off to get him on as many ballots as possible in what seems to be an impossible time-frame. Take a look at the "Ballot Access" forum on his site. They're running around like chickens with their heads cut off, but so far, it appears they're on the ballot only in Colorado.

This is the carpetbagger who ran against Obama for US Senate in Illinois, where he won like 27% of the vote.

Keyes is a great speaker. That said, he is also clearly an egotistical lunatic.
 
It wasn't intellectuals who gave me the courage to overcome this gigantic task,but I can reveal this, I found the courage because I encountered two parties, fellow countryman and German Workers.

Maybe somebody of you will be one of them who does not forgive me for eradicating the marxist parties,but my friends,i destroyed the others as well...they are...

What about Nader and McKinney? They're going to hurt Obama more than Barr, Baldwin and Keyes will impact McCain. Barr will draw votes from both camps; Baldwin will draw from a small portion of Ron Paul supporters, who would never vote for McCain anyway; and Alan Keyes will probably be on less than 10 ballots, making him irrelevant.

Nader and McKinney will be on at least 35 ballots each, and with Obama moving closer to the center every day, he will lose a lot of far-left support.

Neither Nader or McKinney will get more than 0.3% of the vote, which cannot be said of Barr.

Irrelevant. You are assuming that in the absence of a Barr candidacy, most of his supporters would instead vote for McCain -- an assumption which I believe to be false. The two candidates are ideologically incompatible.

Nader will get about .5%, and McKinney .2% if she's lucky.

Barr will poll anywhere between 1.5% and 5%. Too early to tell, at this point.
 
Barr is polling surprisingly well, but it's rare that third party candidates ever do as good in an election as their polling suggests they would. I think a lot of people back off at the last second.

with Libertarians I think their medication schedule gets in the way of going to vote.

I will help you in whatever way I can to get you into the party. Hell this MIGHT be your shot to the VP!

To further reinforce the fact that Alan Keyes is a motherfucking prick, check out this.

Keyes stole the party line from its affiliate, the Constitution Party.

I have lost all respect for the man. He's a cheat, a psychopath, and an asshole.
