AGW and belief in God

The authors of those books of the Holy Bible didn't understand the severe genetic complications of inbreeding.
If their theological fantasy was scientific reality, then Biblical events like The Garden of Eden / Adam & Eve,
and The Flood / Noah would have caused severe problems, from which recovery would have been impossible.

But there's a lot of that in the Holy Bible.

"Dear Dr. Laura,
Thank you so much for trying to educate people regarding god's law. I have learned a great deal from you, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can.
When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle for example, I simply remind him that Leviticus 18:12 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate.
But I need some advice from you, regarding some of the other specific laws and how best to follow them.
When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the lord (Leviticus 1:9), the problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. How should I deal with this?
I would like to sell my daughter into slavery as suggested by Exodus 21:7. What do you think a fair price would be? I know I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Leviticus 19:24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking. But some women take offense. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I obliged morally to kill him myself, or may I hire a hit-man?
I know you have studied these things extensively, and so I am confident you can help.
Thank you again for reminding us that god's word is eternal, & unchanging."

I haven't a clue what you are on about, you are seriously away with the fairies.

Like Hitler and the rest of the liberals, Sear is expressing his hatred of the Jews.

I don't pay attention to him because of the weird posting style. I never liked even famous authors who made up their own rules for writing, like cs lewis, or Faulkner.

WTFRU talking about? Your delusions are just weird.

You did not subtract from my understanding of the bible. You added to and contradicted the bible. You have made up your own incoherent theology.

what I am talking about is clear to everyone, including you......I have contradicted nothing except your assumptions about a Bible you are on record as disbelieving.......

its always a pity when folks who know fuck all about the Bible try to paste arguments from AtheistsRus websites and expect to be taken seriously......

"The risk of climate change is clear and the risk warrants action. Increasing carbon emissions in the atmosphere are having a warming effect. There is a broad scientific and policy consensus that action must be taken to further quantify and assess the risks.

ExxonMobil is taking action by reducing greenhouse gas emissions in its operations, helping consumers reduce their emissions, supporting research that leads to technology breakthroughs and participating in constructive dialogue on policy options.

Addressing climate change, providing economic opportunity and lifting billions out of poverty are complex and interrelated issues requiring complex solutions. There is a consensus that comprehensive strategies are needed to respond to these risks. " ExxonMobil

It (sears'post) is a clear and obvious comment on bible literalists.
You have the balls to call me ignorant?
LMFAO @Tom

It's not assumption. Unlike you and annata I don't need a safespace and have no allergies to source material.

Where in the bible does it say the things you claimed? It does not. You made up that shit in a FAILED attempt to fill in the gaps of the absurd flood story.

Here we disagree...the authors of the Old Testament had clear messages about not fucking your sister or mother and not eating the red berries or scaleless fish.
The message was simplistic aimed at pre Bronze age (essentially cave men)
who needed simple guidance to survive.

Have you ever replied to the context of a post?
This is supposedly your area of expertise.
Why don't you explain the relevance of Leviticus to us layfolk?

dude, I've explained Leviticus to you idiots a dozen times......in short, two different legal codes......the Levitical codes for sacrifices and purification, and the Mosaic Code or Ten Commandments and the rules derived therefrom.......Christianity teaches us that Christ has eliminated the need for sacrifice or personal purification.....thus no more Levitical Code.....the words of Christ tell us that it is up to God to judge the hearts of men, thus no more stoning for violations of the Mosaic Code........however the Mosaic Code was affirmed by Christ to the standard by which we choose our actions........now, that makes 13.......the next time you tell me I need to justify Christianity to you I can tell you I've already explained it to you 13 times.......

the authors of the OT also used different words to say it was wrong to fuck your mother than those they used to say it was wrong to eat red berries (which they never said by the way).....that is how we can tell which prohibitions were part of the purification ritual and which things God decreed were forbidden life choices......the only problem is that when these words were translated eventually into English, "abomination" was used for both......

that which makes it absurd in your mind is your assumption that every detail must be understood literally or rejected.....you ignore the fact that virtually every culture in the world has a story of the same event with different details.......

Interesting that people who are anti-bible are first to beat themselves over the head over and over and over... in thread after effing thread.

"Bless the beasts and the children".

It is not a fact that every culture had a flood story and those who wrote the Bible had access to those stories from other cultures.

I don't think any part of the flood story was ever supposed to be taken literally. That's you and you were the one adding to and contradicting the bible to support your literal interpretation.

It still failed. If you want to answer "I don't know all the details, I just take it on faith" then do so and stfu.
