The gun didn't chase the six year old and her parents down and shoot them, the man with the gun did.

I have guns, as allowed by the Constitution, for hunting and protection of my family from lunatics who try to harm my family. The millions of gun owners in America don't use their guns illegally.

Anyway, maybe this was a hate crime, maybe not. It's notable, however, that Righties are focusing on a race distinction and not the random gun violence that is exploding in this country. Occurrences like shooting someone who rings your doorbell, or drives up your driveway, or rolls a basketball down the road toward where you live, rarely if ever happened. Now we've had four in a week. The problem is much more than guns; it's an unraveling of civil society.
