After years of debating Cons, here are some things that they've presented excellent arguments for, and I have finally been convinced they're right about.


Cons: You were right on these topics. I concede.

Please Include these in Your National 2008 Party Election Platform

1) Free trade agreements like NATA and CAFTA are great. Promise the american people to negotiate more treaties like that.

2) Iraq: Surge and Escalate. Send more troops. Keep our troops there to prevent a civil war. Put this in your platform.

3) Iran: Making overt military threats, and beating the war drums is the way to go. Threats and force are all these savages understand.

4) Roe v. Wade. A ridiculous Federal intrusion by liberal activist judges. Clearly state to the american people, your intent to overturn Roe.

5) Healthcare: Yes, your idea about healthcare savings accounts are great. That's a bold initiative to fix health care. Run with that on your platform.

7) Privitize Social Security: Isn't it about time? Brilliant idea - you've convinced me. Put in in your Party Platform and run on it.

8) Downsize federal government: I like the 1994 Contract with America - can you put back in your platform a promise to eliminate the Dept. of Education, the Department of Interior, and the Environmental Protection Agency? You were right all along about that. Put it in the Platform.

Free trade benefits America. Protectionism doesn't. I like it, keep it in the platform.

2) Iraq: Surge and Escalate. Send more troops. Keep our troops there to prevent a civil war. Put this in your platform.

They are already surging. In fact didn't Democrats call for more troops earlier? Bush a little late to the game on this. We'll know before '08 how this will work out.

3) Iran: Making overt military threats, and beating the war drums is the way to go. Threats and force are all these savages understand.

There is a solid balance between beating wardrums and kowtowing as some would have us do.

4) Roe v. Wade. A ridiculous Federal intrusion by liberal activist judges. Clearly state to the american people, your intent to overturn Roe.

Ain't going to happen.

5) Healthcare: Yes, your idea about healthcare savings accounts are great. That's a bold initiative to fix health care. Run with that on your platform.

HSA's are a great start. They alone will not fix our health care system.

7) Privitize Social Security: Isn't it about time? Brilliant idea - you've convinced me. Put in in your Party Platform and run on it.

No Republican (except possibly Ron Paul but I've never heard him say it) has called for the privitization of social security. Personal accounts should be in the platform.

8) Downsize federal government: I like the 1994 Contract with America - can you put back in your platform a promise to eliminate the Dept. of Education, the Department of Interior, and the Environmental Protection Agency? You were right all along about that. Put it in the Platform.

I'm not quite sure how this country survived until the late '70's without a Department of Education but we all know education in this country sucked until then and has been great since. There's no way we cannot as a county without these government groups to take care of us.

It said I had to write something or it wouldn't post. People use the term 'peace out' all the time. I wasn't using it ilke "peace, lets not debate anymore".
