After two years of Obama…here’s your CHANGE!!

Poor Blabo.

Reagan raised the national debt. Blabo doesn't care.

GHW Bush raised the national debt. Blabo doesn't care.

Bill Clinton raised the national debt, but left America with a budget surplus. Blabo cares about the former and denies the latter.

Bush raised the national debt and the debt limit was raised 9 times on his watch. Unemployment was already rising when Bush left the White House. Blabo doesn't care.

Obama wins the Presidency, and suddenly, Blabo cares.

What possible justification is there for his unsubstantiated opinion that the debt only seems to matter when a Democrat occupies the Executive Mansion?

His leap of logic fails.

I wonder if you had even one comment about the spiraling debt during the Bush years.

If you were honest you would know that I certainly did, as well as the PATRIOT Act, undeclared unending wars as well as warrantless wiretapping, stupid spending, unmanned bombing in places where we weren't at war... we can go on, but I know you can be honest...

Let's compare some numbers that really count... How many American Heros were needlessly sent to an untimely death for an unnecessary war under president Obama v. Bush?

Obama inherited a badly broken economy that is margionally better now!

That's Obama attempting to repair the damage done. I don't abide spin from the peanut gallery. You had 8 years with bush....when we've had 8 years of obama, get back with me.

if we have four more years of this we won't be able to afford to get back to you......

how about these numbers double digit stock market returns every year for my boy Obama.
Has a president ever not been elected with 4 yrs double digit returns?

You did; ID & bravo did not.

What the extremists on the right will not admit to is it takes time to fix 30 yrs of failed ideology.

Exactly! Even Greenspan, a Reagan appointee, admitted to Congress his ideology was faulty, was wrong.

(Excerpt) "We didn't truly know the dangers of the market, because it was a dark market," says Brooksley Born, the head of an obscure federal regulatory agency -- the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) -- who not only warned of the potential for economic meltdown in the late 1990s, but also tried to convince the country's key economic powerbrokers to take actions that could have helped avert the crisis. "They were totally opposed to it," Born says. "That puzzled me. What was it that was in this market that had to be hidden?" (End) (Includes video)
http://www.businessinsider.com/the-...enspan-robert-rubin-and-larry-summers-2009-10

Greenspan's ideology was when enough investors lost money others would stop investing and the invisible hand of the marketplace would correct everything. Unfortunately, we saw how well the marketplace straightened everything out; near global economic collapse, a massive debt and an economy sputtering along.

The worst part is there are still those who believe in the old system; the old, tired, worn out ideas of the Republican Party to which Obama has frequently referred when negotiations arose concerning medical care and now concerning dealing with the debt.

My question is, "What has to happen before people realize the insidious hand is neither the proper overseer nor the correct method of running the country?"

If 30 years of mismanagement could be corrected in a couple of years it would be no big deal but, unfortunately, such is not the case.

As Boehner noted rather than dollars and cents the current disagreement is with which way the country should be headed.

Surely it's obvious to everyone that the last 30 years, the insidious hand of the marketplace, is not the way.

Well, maybe it's not that obvious to some. :(

PATRIOT Act,........................................................................extended and expanded under Obama..

undeclared unending wars..................................................for a practical purposes, still under way with minor lessening....lip service to ending them-Obama

warrantless wiretapping,.....................................................again, extended and expanded under Obama....out of control TSA

stupid spending,.................................................................continues under Obama with even more vigor than Bush, sets a new record in spending and wants to spend even more

unmanned bombing in places where we weren't at war..........Starts a new offensive in Libya ....lame excuse was to protect civilians while he watched more civilians get killed in Syria and Samolia...

So who is really being honest ???

Well, let's just say it undermines your credibility a tad.

Well, there are times when the debt matters a lot and times when it doesn't matter as much....but it ALWAYS matters.....
There are times when its absolutely necessary to go into debt and times when its frivolous and un-necessary....
Nothing can be discussed in isolation....
Like taxes being raised when the economy is growing.....no problem with that
Like more social programs when the economy is healthy....no problem with that
Like more spending for infrastructure, research, etc. in good times....great...
Like more spending for emergency's.....Katrina, WTC, self defense....its necessary.

There is a time when it not such a good thing.....like when unemployment is 9%+ and money is still being wasted on cow fart research....and we're on the verge of being owned by a foreign country....
like more socialist programs when the whole world is watching us on the verge of bankruptcy.....real or imagined....
There is a time to cut back and get control again.....

Now your gripe is with GW Bush in particular....no doubt he spent big bucks and raised the debt....did circumstances make that spending necessary ? Thats debatable....

Seven years of a stable, growing economy with low unemployment was a good thing.....in spite of some world issues.....and domestic catastrophe....
The housing market meltdown will forever be debated about who is to blame....or how much....that was the driving issue is spending in his last months as president....
But that is over and we have a new leader....one that don't lead, one that blames everyone else for everything, one that talks a good game, but refused to play himself....thats a problem....
One who gave speeches condemning excessive spending, raising the debt limit, and other things but then turns around does exactly those things....

So I'm talkin' to you onecell.....
Whats that say about HIS credibility.....stick to the issues above for once

Did Blabo object to any of the above prior to January 21, 2009?

Poor Blabo.

I've kicked his ass so many times that all he can do is whimper like the whipped cur he is.

Hey oncie---I was always against the P.A.- I understood why government wanted to go down that road in the wake of 9/11. But for the very reasons of it being too much power I opposed it.

Even still, that is not an argument FOR OBAMA's suck ass performance as president. You have total BBS~

Good question. Were you against this stupid spending when Bush was in office? I don't give a rip about party when spending runs rampant.

If we want to show that we have Aaa credit, we need to show we have a plan and that we will control our government spending. Cut, Cap, and Balance is the only way to keep that rating. Just raising the debt limit without a plan to get spending back into sanity, and a future plan to show we'll actually pay off the debt, will only ensure that our credit rating will falter, interest will go up, and we'll be hurting something fierce when it all hits the fan. Promises from the party that can't even pass a budget when they hold power? It just won't be enough.

Pure spin. The Bush admin spent out of control, at every juncture. They were the most fiscally irresponsible admin in decades - "deficit spending doesn't matter." As someone who believes in a lower tax rate & less spending, I was dismayed; to me, the one silver lining of a Republican admin & a Republican Congress was that they might actually reign in spending, and make necessary cuts.

They had tunnel vision on the wars, and exploded our debt. I have no problem with a poster like Damo or Superfreak talking about Obama & the debt, because they're relatively consistent. For posters like you & ID? Not so much.

I don't recall any conservative poster here supporting runaway spending during the Bush years, except perhaps when it was spent on the war on terror. Now we have a President who spends so much more in an economy that produces so much less, much of it on government programs that do little. During the Bush years the liberal posters complained about deficits- now they are silent.

I don't recall many conservatives calling for Bush's ouster, or calling him incompetent, or not voting for him in '04 as a result.

I was against deficits during the Bush years, and I'm against them now. I supported the stimulus, because I understand that economic theory.

Obama has owned this economy for nearly 3 years! This is about his spending which is costing Americans about 4.5 billion a day- do try and keep up with who is in the W.H. oncie.

Blaaaaaammmmme Buuuuuuuuush. You have BBS

The economy was doing very well after Bush's first four. Still, I would have supported a viable conservative candidate.

You support the stimulus because you believe in Keynesian economic theory, one that has never worked because it's retarded.

It slipped my mind a little - maybe you can help.

When did the economy crash, ID?
