There was certainly a time when an American political party, in the wake of a devastating attack on an ally, would lean into national unity, when that party’s own political instincts would keep its members from hurling lies and casting aspersions at the President

I'd say Huppke is wrong. Biden lies so much, about important stuff not just himself, that anyone reasonable wouldn't take him at his word. When he says America has Israel's back, you really don't know if that's just some line his speech writers and handlers have him saying, or if he means it. You just can't know. He has a 50 year track record of saying one thing and doing another. He's been on the wrong side of virtually every major foreign policy decision the US has made in that time period too.

So, for a nothing columnist to make a claim based on nothing more than Biden's immediate response to this situation, is pretty much irrelevant.

My bet is Biden fucks this up in one way or another, just like he's fucked up every time before.

I'm not a "Trump loyalist" and this isn't about Trump. Changing the subject with a tu quoque fallacy won't work. Tossing in some ad hominem doesn't help your case.

Getting told how great Biden is when his brain is mostly dead and the world burns proves the extent to which we are fucked.

I am not wrong about how bad things will get as America is burned to the ground so that UTOPIA can rise from the smoldering ashes via magic.
 
I was going to come in here and give my review of the speech where he looked so "presidential"... but I refuse to speak against the president when we need him to look better than he makes himself look. Good job reading the 'prompter.

We are on Israel's side, this is good. He didn't go off message, also good. Deleted half of what I wrote because it wasn't the message we need to send to those who think they can threaten us for standing with Israel.

It took Biden three days to talk with the American people and he still didn't put Iran on notice for its part in killing Americans and the taking of American hostages. Did Hunter cut a deal with Iran?
