Advisor to Iran's Supreme leader dies fr coronavirus, as other top officials infected

They’re strategic and economic partners with China.

In fact, some of the big wig Mullahs may have been to China recently. At least one study shows a fecal-oral route of transmission for the virus. That could explain why it seems to spread more rapidly in some countries than others. Hand washing is the best personal defense against any kind of flu virus.

I get the idea you’ve been around the world enough to figure out the rest.

We can only hope that the really big cheeses start dropping off like flies.

I still cannot work out how it got to Iran and infected so many, very strange.

Iran has a lot of oil, but cannot trade with America, or anyone who uses the American financial systems (making Europe difficult). That leaves China willing to trade heavily with them. China does not care what America thinks, needs oil, and has a lot to trade for that oil. They have been close trading partners, with many top level connections.

Well, I was joking about your strange American fantasies on world plots, but about your sex-life I can only guess, and prefer not to comment on imagined horrors! :)

First it was racism, now you're talking about sex. WTF is wrong with you?

An adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has died from the new coronavirus, as other top officials in the country are confirmed to be infected, according to multiple reports on Monday.

The Iranian Health Ministry recorded 523 new cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the country's known total to 1,501. They mark a 53 percent increase since yesterday.

Mohammad Mirmohammadi, 71, was an Expediency Council member who advised Khamenei and settled disputes between him and parliament. COVID-19 has already infected Iran's vice president and deputy health minister.

His death comes after the country rejected help from Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday -- who announced last week the U.S. was concerned Iran may have covered up details on the spread of the virus.

Iran's mortality rate from the virus is roughly 5.5 percent, compared to an overall fatality rate of about 2 percent in China. The difference in rates has led people to suggest the number of infections in Iran is higher than what the country has officially reported. The country's first case was reported less than two weeks ago.

Finally some GOOD news on this virus and it's impact on third world shit holes. ;)

Probably more to do with not washing their hands lol.

Like this, lol?

A chef wiped his bottom using his hands before preparing food because he does not use toilet paper for 'cultural reasons', a court heard.

Mahbub Chowdhury was found to have a filthy bottle in the kitchen of Yeahya Flavour of Asia, which inspectors concluded was covered in fecal matter.

When questioned, he said he filled the empty milk bottle with water from the kitchen taps before using it to clean his backside after going to the toilet.

Chowdhury prepared meat and fish curries at the takeaway, which was run out of a rented kitchen at the Nine Elms pub.

The chef, who no longer works at the takeaway, pleaded guilty to ten counts of breaching food hygiene regulations at Swindon Magistrates Court.

He was fined more than £5,000 last year for ten similar offenses relating to food hygiene.

Rosie Heath, prosecuting, said environmental health officers who visited the business in May last year found 'very poor standards of hygiene'.

She said: 'In the kitchen under the double sinks [they] found an empty plastic milk bottle which was extremely dirty and was covered with brown fingerprints.

'When asked, Mr Chowdhury explained he filled the bottle with water from the kitchen taps and used it to clean his bottom after visiting the toilet.

'He did not use toilet paper for cultural reasons. Inspectors concluded the brown finger print was fecal matter.'

In their effort to cause global disruption, the Chinese CP accidentally attacked Iran.

Think so? I suspect that Communist Chinese nuclear technicians "advising" the mullahs on their nuke program gave the "gift" of Paradise to several Muslim leaders.

A member of a council that advises Iran’s supreme leader died Monday from the new coronavirus, becoming the highest-ranking official within the Islamic Republic’s Shiite theocracy to be killed by the illness ravaging the country.

The death of Expediency Council member Mohammad Mirmohammadi came as Iran announced the virus had killed at least 66 people among 1,501 confirmed cases. There are now 1,700 cases of the new coronavirus across the Mideast. Of those outside Iran, most link back to the Islamic Republic, which after China has the highest death toll from the COVID-19 illness caused by the virus.

After downplaying the coronavirus as recently as last week, Iranian authorities now say they have plans to potentially mobilize 300,000 soldiers and volunteers to confront the virus.

Iran’s percentage of deaths to infections, now around 4.4%, is much higher than other countries, suggesting the number of infections in Iran may be much higher than current figures show.

Iran stands alone in how the virus has affected its government, even compared to hard-hit China, the epicenter of the outbreak.

Those sick include Vice President Masoumeh Ebtekar, better known as “Sister Mary,” the English-speaking spokeswoman for the students who seized the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979 and sparked the 444-day hostage crisis, state media reported.

Also sick is Iraj Harirchi, the head of an Iranian government task force on the coronavirus who tried to downplay the virus before falling ill.
