Adult male oral sex with 17 year old boy...

The only thing I can see is that the kid said he told Gauthier that he was 18.

Yeah, I missed the last line that says consensual sex is ok as long as they are 16 in MN. something seriously wrong with that law. I know you want a little leeway if the older of the two is 18 and their partner 16/17, but come on... If you are over 25, you should not be with someone under 18.

What is most interesting is that the first I heard of this was from the UK Telegraph. Could it be that PMSNBC, NYT, CBS and the other Lame Stream Media outlets suppressed this story because the assailant is a demalquedacrat? My guess is that if this were a republican, it would be splashed all over the news ala Foley.

I am sure Morning Shmo and Ed "Ya vol commandant" Schultz will be all over this one on PMSNBC. Rachel Madcow Disease will probably lead off her program with it. It happened July 22nd and this is the first I have heard about it.

Too funny

It is entirely possible that the pary affiliation has a lot to do with it. Since no laws were broken, it isn't a legal issue. The reason republicans get splashed across the media when they get caught "bobbin on the knob" is because they have typically been anti-gay in a loud voice in public, while playing in private. You know, toe-tapping and such.

Oh I see, so those that hold no morals, or ethics get to do what ever they want eh, while all the while making up false bars for your political opposition to live up to, or face your scorn...Sounds very Alinsky like to me....*Sigh* predictable.

So since you liberals act in a sordid manner and have no standards there is no point in pointing it out? Seems to me that Foley didn't break any laws either, but that was splashed all over the news for weeks. Probably led to the GOP losing the House as much as anything.

The fact that you don't see the double standard shows what a mindless libtardiot hack you are.

No. We who practice freedom in our lives do not concern ourselves with who is having sex with whom, except that it be between adults and consentual. Other than that it is none of our business. Unlike rightwing lunatics who want to preach that everyone's sex-life is their business, homosexuality should be illegal, and that their moral standards are the only standards anyone should use. When those folks get busted doing what they have been preaching against, their hypocrisy is news.

The fact that someone's moral standards are different from yours does not mean they have no moral standards.

You get a better quality of responder?

And Foley was kicked out by his own people.

I agree with most of the above, but in this case it was a child. Granted, the kid was 17 and lied about his age... but still... wtf was that congressman doing with someone that young?
