I don't remember ever saying that people who commit murder aren't mentally ill....whatever the race.....that goes for mass shooters, domestic violence and gang members as well.....

Rights are not absolute, stupid fuck. Felons, even with unrelated offenses, are not allowed to possess firearms.

His right to possess a firearm when his mental status is known, and knowing his background, does not override the rights of others to be alive.

He will be charged. If he survives. Meanwhile, his “right” to possess an AR-15, despite his well known mental disease, leads to the destruction of dozens of lives.

Obama had the SSA use their database to identify this who were deemed by the courts to be unable to manage their own affairs, to be flagged as part of the background checks. Your hero, Trump, rescinded that. Feel proud of your part here, Jethro.

Agreed. Consider that, even if his guns were taken from him, just running around loose, he could be a danger to others. He could just as easily blocked the exit doors of the bowling alley and driven a car full of gasoline through the front door and burned them all.

The problem here is a noticiable lack of both mental health care and legislation protecting both the rights of the mentally ill and the public.

America is a shooting gallery.
These stories are barely news anymore.

We have the nation that our founders envisioned.
 
Mentally ill enough to be sectioned but not enough to be institutionalized - despite the VERY VERY clear threats of deadly violence.
