ACORN tapes - another reason you shouldn't watch Fox

So, um... we've been hearing a lot about the "ACORN tapes" on this site the last few days. I had no idea what anyone was saying until I saw them today because... wait for it... it turns out they're fake.

Yes. The woman's husband, according to the San Bernardino police is alive and well. She was fucking with some right wing nutjob protestors, which Fox News took out of context and passed it off as though she was some crazy lady hooker who killed her husband.

Unbelievable.

It doesn't. The lady in the CA office was trying to make herself seem more "cool" to the prostitute so started in on how pimpish her ex was. She was lying about her background so Ib1 wants to believe that the tape itself was a lie, that she didn't really tell them how to tell the government their new sex slaves from El Salvador are "relatives"...

ACORN, calling the actions of some of its employees "indefensible," has suspended advising new clients as part of its service programs and is setting up an independent review to see what happened.

At today's White House briefing, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, asked by ABC News about recent government actions taken against ACORN, had a forceful response.

"Obviously the conduct you see on those tapes is completely unacceptable," Gibbs said, raising the issue of videotapes posted online by BigGovernment.com and aired frequently by Fox News Channel that seem to show ACORN employees advising a faux prostitute and faux pimp on how to skirt housing and tax laws. "The administration takes accountability extremely seriously."

Gibbs said the Census Bureau decided that ACORN could not assist the group in meeting "the bureau's goal of achieving a fair and accurate count in 2010" and that some other agencies are evaluating their relationship with the group. "We constantly evaluate to ensure that any grantee is living up to what has to happen in order to fulfill that grant application."

He pointed out that "previous administrations" had awarded grants to ACORN either through the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The conduct of the employee was out of lines, sure. She should probably be let go. The point was that FOX news was passing it off as though she'd actually killed her fucking husband, and you guys ate it up like it came out of GWB's asshole.

i never even heard about until YOU said something....has it even been talked about on this board before YOU brought up the murder? additionally, was fox the ONLY news channel to mention this and was it actually fox news or a pundit?

so then any news agency that gets it wrong should not be watched....thanks for that....then you can't watch any news bucko

There's no difference on Fox news between pundits or their news. They are indistinguishable. Glenn Beck said it, so did Hannity. And no it's not an excuse to call them pundits. They air during primetime when every other station is doing real news.

great...so when glen was on cnn or whatever channel....there was no difference....:rolleyes:

FACT: foxnews did not run the story.....OPINION pundits did....

and the police also investigated the story....i guess you should never listen to the police again....

They report exactly what she said....the womens honestly is irrelevant....she said what she said and that was the fact of the report....

What FOX said and the tapes proved she said, you stupid dweeb, was that the woman claimed she had murdered her husband and it should be investigated...That is what the woman claimed.

So let's see, only one network broadcast ran a huge fucking story and made it clear that it should be fucking investigated and you, the board dweeb, implies that's bad?....:rolleyes:
